Spoiler! isn't Anna the one that is going back in time to kill mary and john before they have the chance to have sam?....i think i read somewhere that anna trying to stop sam from becomeing lu goes back in time to kill mary and john, and dean, sam, and cas all try to stop her.

Yep its in the episode "Back to the Future II" Feb 4rth. Where Anna goes back in time to kill Mary & John. Which is odd because Dean & Sam saved so many people; Angel usually think kill one save a thousand ;p

Yup. no Dean = no deal = no first seal = Sam just dies = no demon blood + skank!Ruby = no apocalypse.

I doubt it, if Dean couldn't change the past when he went back in time I don't think Anna could. And even if she did go back and kill Sam and Dean I don't think it would change anything, there would still be the other kids with demon blood the only difference is that it then would probably be Jake or Ava who would kill Lilith and I think that Azazel would have some kind of plan for breaking the first seal which he could then use since Dean would have never shot him. So I don't really sea the point in Anna going back and killing Sam and Dean if they would just end up in the same situation as before only this time with Azazel, a different special kid and maybe even without Cas.

And I don't even want to get into the whole timetravel thing which would make it impossible for Anna to go back in time to kill Sam because then she wouldn't have ever had a reson to go back in time in the first place to go back in time to kill Sam... I think, I'm not sure, timetravel makes my head hurt :P
