I see alot of Padme vs. Leia 質問 along with Luke vs. Darth Vader または Anakin. もっと見る the Padme vs. Leia. New1Superion2 Other than "Galactic Republic" rather than "Galactic Empire", good article. You've brought up some good points. Interestingly the young Skywalkers not only got the good genes, they also had healthier upbringings. Leia raised by the Organa couple, Luke raised by the Lars couple, while Anakin having been raised mainly by Obi Wan/the Jedi Order. While all three were taught to be/do good, to be strong/determined, to stand up/fight for what they believe; somewhere down the line Obi & the Jedi failed. Perhaps all the tragedy could have been avoided if Qui-Gon Jinn had been more forceful in negotiating the release of Anakin AND his mother or had Cliegg Lars been able to protect Anakin's mother from the Sand People. Then again, we wouldn't have the Star Wars Saga ;p JD

How could Qui Gon force Watto to release Shmi?

New1Superion2 DR76, At the time of my prior comment I was thinking Qui-Gon should just free her forcibly. Though, now I believe he might also have been able to accomplish this by threatening Watto with economic or political interference by the Jedi Council, or something subtle like that. As for Cliegg, admittedly I'm not knowledgeable about those circumstances, in which Shmi was kidnapped. At the time I was saying that if he were a soldier/warrior, that the Sand People probably wouldn't have been able to take her. Those are as good an answer that I can give you. JD
