Approaching the enormous metal sphere, I had time to recall everything that happened. This hedgehog called Sonic had possibly saved me from something which I still had no idea what it was. It came, and left, and Sonic drove it away. I felt like I had to repay him somehow, so when Sonic had to go do something that seemed important, I decided to go and tag along, and try to help him any way I can.

“Tails! Snap out of it!” yelled Sonic at me. He was hanging off the ledge of the Tornado’s right wing.

Instinctively, I attempted to lift the side which Sonic was on in an attempt to help him get up. However, I saw off in the distance the sphere was facing us directly. It’s imposing face paralyzed me for several seconds, but I broke free of its mental grasp. The sphere’s nose began to charge with a certain kind of energy. I couldn’t tell what it was exactly, being too far away. And によって the time it was too close for comfort, it was already too late.

A flash of light, and a blue laser beam was shot at the Tornado. The shot landed on the wing where Sonic was holding onto, sending him falling down. The lack of a right wing sent me spiraling clockwise downward. I tried my best to give Sonic something to hold onto, but I couldn’t control the Tornado in its damaged state. It was doomed to a crash landing.

Land came into view, and we saw a kind of factory. It seemed to be on 上, ページのトップへ of an oil deposit, extracting the oil, but I couldn’t be sure. After all, I was too worried about where I was going to land. I knew that landing the plane as safely I could was necessary for salvaging all I could, but there was almost no chance that anything I could possibly salvage would survive a crash like the one the Tornado was going to experience.

“Tails!” Sonic cried, free falling down. His voice sounded far away, and seemed to get further away as he fell further and further away.

I had a decision to make, and I made that decision. I unstrapped myself from the Tornado, and jumped out. Using what I knew about how air worked, I make my body as slender as possible while falling towards Sonic. I quickly caught up to him, and the roof of the factory was quickly catching up to both of us.

“Grab my hand,” I yelled towards Sonic over to rushing wind once I was close enough. I extended a hand towards Sonic.

He tried to grab my hand once, but missed, and continued flipping. I fell closer to him, and reached out my hand again. I tried grabbing his hand this time, but his hand slipped from mine. He fell away from me, and I had to redirect myself. He reached out a hand that wasn’t stable, but I could catch his hand. Trying to grab his hand was proving fruitless, so I fell past him, and turned myself over. Sonic fell into me, and I caught him. I wrapped my arms around Sonic’s abdomen, and flipped us both over.

“What? Tails?” Sonic questioned, surprised. Honestly, I was surprised I heard him over the wind.

The roof was ominously close. A soft landing was out of the question. My best bet was to slow down out decent as best I could. I spun my namesakes as fast as I possibly could. I could feel the drag, but we didn’t seem to be falling any slower. We kept falling until I gave up on trying to slow our decent, and flipped both of us over again, so that I was under Sonic.

“Tails, no!” Sonic exclaimed, seeing what I was doing. He tried to flip us both over, but when he tried, we had already his the roof.

I felt as if my back was broken in two. In response, I let go of Sonic to try to soothe the pain in my back. Landing on a pipe wasn’t the best course of action, but I had no other option. I slid off the pipe, and kept falling further. I hit another pipe with my head as I fell further, which made my head spin.

“Oh, no あなた don’t,” someone’s distorted and blurry voice said. Something caught me, and I could tell I was moving, but I was too dazed to tell if I was still falling または not.

When my mind was clear again, and not fuzzy, I could tell Sonic was carrying me through the facility, destroying the robots in the facility. Where the robots bad? As far as I knew, robot were good. But could these be the robots Sonic mentioned? After all, 動物 seemed to be coming out of them whenever he destroyed the mechanical monsters.

He destroyed a kind of pipe with a vacuum inside. Both of us were pulling in, Sonic after me, and a fork in the pipe came forth. I went to the right, and Sonic went to the left. I appeared in a chamber with too many robots. From what I could tell when I was regaining my mental clarity, Sonic was destroying these robots, but I couldn’t tell how. How was I supposed to destroy these things? On 上, ページのトップへ of that, I couldn’t get up. My legs didn’t want to move. I flashed back to when I landed on that first pipe as the robots began to surround me.

This is what has become of that stupid decision.
