So many of あなた may know that a Skulduggery Pleasant movie IS planned, and the rights to the film have been sold to Warner Bros. However, very little is known about what the actual film will be like.
So far, it has been confirmed that Derek Landy will be 書く the screenplay, so it is 安全, 安全です to assume the film will be as true to the book as possible. DL has 前 experience 書く screenplays, including the non-family friendly Boy Eats Girl starring Samantha Mumba.
Originally the film was planned for release in 2010, and to be filmed in 2009. This has since been set back with casting and script finalization this year, filming 2010, and eventual release in 2011. ファン still have a while to wait yet!
But the 質問 on everyone's lips is who is going to play who. DL has hinted that there will be open auditions for the character of Valkyrie Cain / Stephanie Edgley. There are no rumours yet on Ghastly, Tanith または any of the other characters besides the one and only Skulduggery.
DL has 発言しました he would like Johnny Depp to voice Skulduggery, but it has not been yet confirmed that he will. A もっと見る最近 rumour is saying that James Nesbitt may be voicing the main character. SP himself is supposedly a mix of anamatronics and CGI, a la the 恐竜 in Jurassic Park.
DL has 発言しました that he has been in talks with Steven Spielburg himself to direct the film.

valkyrie_cainx Hey, Well, I'm not sure when they're gonna be out, but I'm an actress (I've been in a few things) And my agent is looking into it for me! :D Not sure if they're gonna be open or not though! :) Gd luck to ya'll if u audition! But yh, I do have jet black, long hair, brown eyes, pale skin and I lived in Dublin until I was 10! So still have a bit of an Irish accent and can put one on when I want! :) XXX

Jackie_Contrary I have heard it is coming out in 2013 but nothing has happened I doubt if they will even start filming by nxt summer. I have sent a letter (last week) to derek landy asking about tryouts, so I will keep every one posted. but I bet if we all pester enough her may actually start tryouts. I went on Imdb but there is no info for non members and even then the only thing it has for the non members is that the release date is not set(2013) and they dont have any final actors and the only one being debated is Depp. I am waiting three months for a reply for the letter then I get to be disappointed.

JaydenxevenSP i think apart from johnny depp as skulduggery, i reckon the rest of the cast should be all unknowns it would probably make the film more unique unlike any other like the books, and we wont be focusing on the actors e.g if the rock played ghastly (no bloody way is he doin that) we would be thinkin 'hmm i wonder if he learned that move in the wrestling ring' or 'hes not as good in this film as that thing'. I think we need fresh actors and fresh opinions so that we can view the skulduggery movie as intended, a completely indipenent movie, it stands alone and i know johnny depp cancels that out a bit but you only hear his voice and in the flashbacks they can use a different actor who is also an unknown because ill never call johnny depp skulduggery pleasant, his voice is as far as ill go. Hes american anyway, isnt he? I think that would throw everything out of wack, i think the cast should at least be from the UK, at best, ireland

IAmDarquesse @seeleyboothbone Yes, actually. Warner Bros. backed out on letting The Golden God write it, so they no longer own the writes. Derek is unwilling to let it be made into a movie unless he is the writer, so he's being extra cautious about the rights to it for the moment. Unfortunately, this means no movie for us. Personally, I think Benedict Cumberbatch should be Skulduggery, and Ivy Animosity/Valkyrie V. Cain should be Val. :)

ValduggeryFTW So I saw on the skulduggery forum page that they asked Derek about the movie thing. Apparently, Derek said that there MAY not be a movie because he let I think it was Warner Brothers and a few other companies try writing the script, and when they showed Derek, he was HORRIFIED. Apparently, they were so terrible that one of the scripts gave Skulduggery a DANCE NUMBER. Imagine that lol! But hopefully Derek will continue with the movie. Stay Positive :)

Theory 1.
To get the Remnant out of Tanith all we need to do is-
1. Force her into Dr Nye's old lab as that casues people to die but remain conscious
2. Get Dr Nye to use its research into the soul and pull the Remnant away from Tanith's soul
3. If that doesn't work, just put Tanith at peace
Theory 2.
Argeddion's magic before finding his True Name is unknown, but I have an idea. It's Sensitive, I think this because-
1. It explains why he was able to control people's minds
2. It would explain how he could read minds

Tanith was after Fletcher so that she could use him to release Darquesse, who the team had found out to be Valkyrie Cain, Fletcher's ex. Fletcher was woken up in his apartment over Dublin によって his mobile phone he had reserved a text, it was from Ghastly it read 'we need ur help meet at outside sanctuary, Ghastly' Fletcher sighed he hadn't been at the sanctuary since he and Valkyrie had broken up. But the old team needed him (for once) so he got up, changed into jeans, boots and a t-shirt and teleported.

When he arrived outside the sanctuary he saw Skulduggery, Valkyire, Ghastly and a 19 年 old boy in black boots, jeans, t-shirt and leather long coat, he reconised the kid, it was an old friend who he thought was dead, Xi Omega,...
