I'm sorry to say the anime ending is not good enough. At least not a bad ending. I learned Madoka want to prevent all magical girls from the past, present, future and all other timelines, from ever becoming witches. I want the ending like this. Unfortunately, The reason I don't like the ending not because of Madoka's wish, Madoka become goddess or Walpurgisnacht's defeat.
The reason is only 3 out of 5 magical girls (Mami, Kyoko and Homura my 4th favorite, 2nd favorite and 3rd favorite character at that time) (After the the 'Rebellion' movie Mami is my 2nd favorite, Kyoko is my 4th favorite and Homura my 5th favorite) appear at the ending. My favorite character Madoka and Sayaka (my 5th favorite character at that time, but becomes 3rd favorite after the 'Rebellion' movie) did not appear till the end. I can learn that Madoka became 'Law of the cycle' / Goddess at the end of episode 12 (she did not die), Sayaka didn't want to come back. All except Homura, Madoka's baby brother Tatsuya and Madoka's mother Junko forget about Madoka. Kyoko is also sad and mad about Sayaka's disappearance. Homura is very unhappy about Madoka's disappearance. I was unable to forget Madoka and Sayaka like Homura and Kyoko. If Madoka came back, I will rate the anime ending higher score. I think the ending is worse than Azumanga Daioh, Angel Beats, Kanon and most of the Pretty Cure series ending. For Sayaka Miki fans, they may pick 'No' because Sayaka disappeared along with Madoka in the last episode. I later learned that Madoka becomes a concept (Law of the Cycle) / Goddess at the end. Madoka did not die in the end of the TV series.
I missed both of them I cannot sleep well without two of them (especially Madoka).
After I believed in hope, I can finally see Madoka and Sayaka come back in the 'Rebellion' movie. I literally like the ending.
The anime ending score is 8 marks the most because follow by "魔獸篇" in Chinese) (just a pass) out of 10 marks. Which means I can accept in the anime ending.
