If you are Christian or something, (I'm not. My mom was born without a religion.) it probably a disgrace to Jesus to respect Jack as an idol.

You can't tell people that they can't idealize a character OR that they can't have a crush on a fictional character because you think it's weird, it's their choice!

I happen to think that Jack is absolutely amazing, makes a lot of sense to have him as your idol.
