well a mixture of sorts like spots that i have been a member of from their creation i know all the picks, or if i want to ask something in debate i normally search first but apart from that i try and do something random, mainly due to the fact that brain doesn't accept logic as a way of thinking

It depends on the spot, like in The Office Spot there are too many to go through so I will use the search box and try to check different wordings to see if I can find a simliar question :)

It take a fudging long time, but it is worth it if you don't want to clog up a spot with repeats.

If there aren't a lot of picks, I'll scroll through. I do that with images so I don't double submit stuff. However, if there are a lot I will do a search. It's not a perfect system, but it keeps you from looking silly.

the only trouble with images though is unless some nice soul puts really specific keywords then there's loads to look through so i try and check out as many images as i have time for and just hope mine hasn't been added, although a lot of the spots i submit images to i have really searched through anyways,

generally i dont make pick that could be a repeat, like most of the picks i make are in this spot or are on the Sweeney Todd spot and on sweeney todd i have answered all the picks and made most of them whereas on this spot i make random ones that no one has made before! ♥

it does matter to me if its a duplicate or not, everyone is entitled to mistakes, and i see no reason to get anal about something so silly. there is so much more to worry about in life! lol

I don't like to go around looking for repeats, because it just takes too long. If I have to look for repeats all the time, then picks will just get annoying to do.
I don't really do anything to check. I just post them hoping it's not a repeat, and if it is, meh se la vie.

so why not pick the add it anyways option?

I only really make picks in the How I Met Your Mother spot or in one of my newbie spots therefore I just scroll to check. Sometimes I add one to another spot but it is usually abour a rece3nt episode so I just scroll through the recently added ones.......That makes sense in my head, sorry if not in anybody elses.

If there are not that many picks in the spot I will go through them all but If it is a large spot I will use the search engine hoping people used keywords.
