"POLDARK" SERIES ONE (2015): EPISODES FIVE TO EIGHT

Within the past year, I had developed a major interest in 作者 Winston Graham's 1945-2002 "POLDARK" literary saga and the two テレビ adaptations of it. Series One of the 秒 adaptation produced によって Debbie Horsfield, premiered on the BBC (in Great Britain) and PBS (in the United States) last year. I have seen only two versions of Alexandre Dumas père's 1845 novel, "The Count of Monte Cristo" in my past - the 1975 テレビ version with Richard Chamberlain and the 2002 ディズニー film with James Cavielzel. While 読書 a good number of 記事 about the movie versions of the novel, I came across numerous praises for the 1934 adaptation that starred Robert Donat. And since I happened to like Dumas' story so much, I decided to see how much I would like this older version.

When the 1995 adaptation of John Ehle's 1971 novel, "The Journey of August King" hit the theaters, it barely made a flicker in the consciousness of moviegoers. In a way, I could see why.
