hello my fellow readers
i know its short but im 書く this in between homework so ill have a few short chapters up tonight, then hopefully one long one :)
Disclaimer: I do not own the Percy Jackson series. So far Percy and Grover are on my side. We're going to start a riot. After that, i will own it. I will... :)
“Hey…” Grover 発言しました with uncertainty in his voice. This place with kind of creepy. There were statues outside of runts with beards waving, I figured they were supposed to look welcoming, but it just made it look like あなた were about to walk into a haunted house.
“The lights are on inside,” I said. “Maybe it’s opened.” I could just smell the チョコレート ミルク shake. I haven’t had one of those in so long, and fries of course. Fries are my お気に入り food, but back at camp we only got the cut up fried potatoes with no salt または grease. I was talking fries covered in salt, grease and ketchup.
“Snack bar,” Percy 発言しました dreamingly.
“Snack bar,” I repeated picking up my pace.
“Are あなた two crazy?” Grover asked us. “This place is weird.”
I decided to just ignore him because my stomach was saying something different from Grover. It was saying GO! GET THE FOOD!
We finally got to the parking lot which was rocky and filled with even もっと見る statues. None of them were smiling. Some smirking, some gasping, and some doing scary faces. None seemed happy, which kind of made me hesitate going into there, but then I got another whiff of burgers and that was end of that. We placed a cement satyr that looked like Grover, which was kind of creepy.
“Bla ha ha!” He bleated. “Looks like my Uncle Ferdinand!” After that he spent a lot of time looking around and sniffing the air which was weird.
I reached my hand up to knock at the door, just to make sure they were open when Grover put a hand on my arm. “Don’t knock, I smell monsters.” He said, squinting his eyes and trying to see through the curtain on the glass window of the door.
“Your nose is clogged up from the Furies.” I told him. “All I smell are burgers. Aren’t あなた hungry?”
“Meat!” I’m a vegetarian!” He cried.
“You eat cheese enchiladas and aluminum cans,” Percy reminded him, giving him a sarcastic look.
“Those are vegetable. Come on. Let’s leave. These statues are… looking at me.”
The door opened slowly and we all turned jumped and turned around. Grover looked like he was about to jump out of his fake feet.
Standing at the door was a coffee colored and I only knew that because her hands were the only things not covered in black fabric. She wore a black, elegant dress that just touched the floor. She had a Middle Eastern accent and spoke calmly. “Children, it is too late to be out all alone. Where are your parents?”
Of course I haven’t planned this. I should’ve known that surely mortal adults would be wondering what three kids... er, two kids and a half goat half man, were doing alone together.
“They’re um…” I started to say to break the awkward silence, but Percy cut me off.
“We’re orphans.” He 発言しました so sure of himself that I almost believed it.
