doubtful. when hales left in s2, nate was even worse than before. he was a drunk, antisocial stink fest.

Agreed with abs and tvfan.
He wasn't able to keep himself together when she left, and once he got "strong" again he was still nasty and selfish.
When Haley and Him are together he's just amazing, when they're apart he's a bad guy.
She saved his life (as he says in 4.09) and she would destroy it if she were to leave him.
He was, plain and simple, a bad guy with a good heart and the only thing that could make him be the better person that he was was if he had extra support of someone who really believed in him pushing him a long.

i think he would of changed - not as soon as he did but he would of come around to luke! and the way dan was - i dont reckon he would wanna end up like him!

I think eventually eventually he MAY have turned in to a good guy but it might have taken years and another person he loved in the same way (though doubtfull as much) as Haley =]
