Hmmn... I actually don't really think either song is so applicable to Brucas's relationship. I think that White Horse can KIND OF explain Brooke's feeling toward the end of season 1. But, she only started dreaming about having a prince charming once she met Lucas. She never "gave a rat's ass" before meeting Lucas, so I don't think she was dreaming of her prince charming and then her dreams were shattered because of Lucas(based on the story in this song). I think it was more that she just thought Lucas was someone else and thought their relationship meant something different. And this song is a little more about the cycle of abuse (the way he hurts her, then tries to act innocent and apologizes, and then hurt her again, and then comes begging for forgiveness...). But I definitely think that the tone of this song (the way the lyrics are so angry, and she seems so angry at herself and angry/heart broken by the guy) can describe Brooke's feelings in season 1.

You Can't Break a Broken Heart I don't think applies to Brooke... because the reason she was so scared of rebuilding their relationship in season 2 was because she knew he could break her broken heart. She was so scared of getting hurt again b/c she knew he could break her heart again.
If anything, she was even more scared of getting her heart broken and even more scared of getting hurt because her heart was still aching from the first time they were together. Brooke tries so hard to distance herself from Lucas toward the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2 b/c she knows just how badly he could hurt her again.

Yeah I don't really see the connection... But if anything I'd agree in saying White Horse kind of fits season 1 in Brooke's POV...

White Horse fits especially during season 1 and season 2-3 (when he wants Brooke back).
