I don't think she "sooooo loves him"; I think she'll always love him to a certain level. She's no longer "in" love with him though. I don't think it's just about her wanting him to be happy either. I think she also wants to be happy and she knows that even though she'll always care for luke, she can't be happy with him, and luke certainly won't be happy with her (whether he loved peyton or not). She knows they're not meant to be and that was re-enforced in 505. funny thing is, alot of brucas fans took it as brucas still has a chance of being together, lol. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but I took it as a reassurance that they're definitely over. I like their friendship this season. Brooke was happy for leyton [at the end of 505] when she realized luke was still in love with peyton. I strongly doubt there'll be a b/l/p love triangle again. it would be such a broken record if there was. like brooke said, they're not in highschool anymore.

i get what you say.. and i know it doesn't seem possible them getting back together. I do believe they are made for each other even though things aren't working out that way right now. Peyton may be his soulmate, brooke is e love of his life when he decided to realize it :) And while talking about reassurance, why doesn't anyone take lucas's "this is different, peyton and i are definitely over" as a sign they are over? leaving the tension aside and stuff... When you soooo love someone it doesn't mean you're IN love with them.

saying that brooke is the "love of his life" is your opinion though. Luke never said that. yes luke fell in love with brooke in s2/3, but the difference between brucas and leyton is that luke vowed to peyton that no matter what happens "you will always be in my heart" (419). brucas agreed to be friends on "friendly" terms (408). luke saying "peyton and I are definitely over" doesn't change the way he feels. the fact that lucas couldn't answer brooke when she asked "you still love her don't you? Peyton" is a sign that they are "not" over. Leyton's moments through S5 so far also prove they are not over. Brucas has had no moments like that. The flashback from 505 when luke was drunk, he was and desperate and horny. once brooke reminded luke who he really loves, he starting moaning about peyton within seconds. if luke still had something for brooke he woulda confessed or something (being drunk & vulnerable 'n all). Brooke will always love luke (not the same way she used to though) but he's never shown signs of reciprocation as he's done with peyton. I doubt luke will ever reciprocate brooke's feelings in this lifetime (brucas has tried TWICE and the love fizzled out both times; first time luke never even loved brooke. second time brooke realized she wasn't in love with luke anymore and they both realized they were never meant to be).

i know what you mean and i agree there are not enough hints of brucas for us to keep being die hard brucas fans. It's more of a leyton just doesn't work for me. And it is my opinion that brucas works better... even though the characters don't see it that way :) the thing is both peyton and brooke like being treated like crap by lucas and i'm really starting to hate that. When a guy can't accept your I'm not ready yet, let him GO. I wish jake would come back and really care for peyton.. and someone nice for brooke too cause seriously luke had issues, deep issues that are really getting on my nerves!! :)

brooke is still in love with him, when she told lucas that he had broken her heart so she put everything into her work and then after that night they spent together after he left peyton, what does she do? goes home and decides to make huge furthing moves for her career

i totally agree with you cmerun, but i'm not sure how she feels about him now... 3 years later
