I honestly loved it. It just felt very refreshing and new to me, but it still had the same qualities the oth is known for. All the screen time was spread out evenly. I sorta did miss leyton, but thats over with now and the show is still really good just like always. I hope everyone gives it a chance!
I absolutely loved the premiere. Brulian was AMAZING, all the new characters were really refreshing and I can't WAIT to see what happens with the cliffhanger at the end. All in all, a great episode around. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE REST OF THE SEASON!
Nope, and for obvious reasons. And NO, i'm NOT talking about the fact that Leyton was gone. The whole episode came across as a "7th heaven"-like, cheesy spin off to me. The writing was lazy/sloppy at best, the storylines felt completely unnecessary, the acting felt forced, and the abundance of Jamie and new characters did not interest me in the least.
It did not feel like the same show at all... and not in a good way. We didn't even get any explination about where the characters really are 14 months later... especially Leyton. The unspoiled fans were probably confused as hell wondering about Naleys sudden new home that was never mentioned, and the sudden absence of Leyton and where they really went. And that is why I felt like the writing was lazy.
Ofcourse this is all just my opinion, but I didn't like it at all. I highly doubt I'll be watching the rest of the season
I thought it was great! I love that it didn't start out so angsty, but at the same time it was still edgy. I really didn't have time to care about Leyton b/c I was so interested in the new characters, Naley, and Brulian.
In my opinion it had a little too much Jamie though. I wish he'd moved off with his Uncle Lucas and Auntie Peyton.
Clayton and Quinn are very intriguing to me and I can't wait to see if they are going to be good or bad, or, hopefully, a little bit of both!
kellyerin87, you took the words right out of my mouth!
I didn't like the season premiere because every storyline was boring, and I couldn't care less about Jamie's birthday party or about Clayton or Skills not being able to get rid of his cd's.
Naley has always been my favorite couple, but even their storyline bored me. And now there's this crap about Nathan sleeping with some girl on the road, but I'm not sure if I believe that that's true. I like Quinn, but I'd rather have Taylor come back. I didn't think I'd miss Lucas and Peyton so much. They should have ended OTH with season 6, or better yet, season 4.
I loved it..but it wasn't the same obviously.
It was really different but hopefully it'll get better. I do agree a bit with kellyerin87, because we didn't get much explanation on some stuff, but i still have fate..xD
I will never stop watching OTH. Even if it goes for 100 seasons..haha! ♥
i agree with kellyerin87 and Seddie4Ever .
and yeah sure a part of it does have to do with no more leyton i mean its just not oth without them. but everything is just so blaaah. and the newbies just dont bring anything to the table for me. i mean its just no, they shoulda ended it all perfect and nice at the s6 finale. its time to say bye bye to tree hill.
guys! it was just the beginning! what do u expect? the big drama? that'll come soon enough!
i really liked the first episode...it was like the old oth...just without leyton and that didn't bother me at all. cute music moment, cute relationships, cute storyline for leading into the new season, g8 acting!
