That';s nto hwo it works. He must be strong yeah but the bigger bounty = the bigger freat to goverment. Fred, she sure as keheck wans't strong. dragon is revolutionary, he's fighting the goverment head on, he's causeing troubble and is a big threat.
If Oda were to give out all his plot details and plans at the begining of his story he'd have no ファン または story, あなた need a untold mystery to be revealed else it's not intresting.
Monkey D. Dragon. A mysterious man with a past that we have yet to uncover. He is the son of Monkey D. Garp and the Father of Monkey D. Luffy. His lover/wife/girlfriend (Luffy's mother) has yet to be uncovered, as is his Mother. He is the leader of the revolutionary army and is known as the world's most dangerous criminal as he intends to over throw the World Govt. He has a 愛 for freedom and he believes in fate, both of which are strong traits of a "D.". He appears to be a very intelligent man (a trait which was ロスト on both his father and his son). He attended the Pirate King's execution and (though he is an absent-y Father) he seemed actually happy for his son becoming a pirate and living his life the way he wanted to. It is clear that he was never a good Father to Luffy, as the boy has no recollection of ever even having a Father at all. Any other information about the man is yet to be revealed. As I have already said, he is very mysterious. I hope to see もっと見る of him.

Luffy isn't unintelligent - he's just odd and a bit slow, but he still thinks things through, sometimes... Otherwise he would have died before now.
When it comes to fighting and stuff Luffy is a genius, but with everything else, he's pretty dumb. And he doesn't really think things through. First episode he nearly dies によって being sucked down a whirlpool.
A good point, yes, but I still don't think that is quite the way to describe him - he's immature, if anything. Yes, sometimes he doesn't think things through - but, hey, that's why we all 愛 him, right?
Yep :) he's immature, doesn't think things through and sometimes can't grasp even the simplest of concepts calling them 'mysterious' even when they're explained in great detail. But that's what makes him Luffy and that's what make him awesome and hilariously funny :)
