Olivia Newton-John Reveals Her True Feelings About Grease 2 

Olivia Newton-John made a visit to Bravo’s late night talk show 

on Tuesday night — where she opened up about the 1982 sequel to her career-making musical film, 

The 68-year-old Australian told host Andy Cohen what she honestly thinks about 

Newton-John wasn’t the only one. The Michelle Pfeiffer-film was a box office flop, panned by critics and failing to match the love of the iconic 1978 original.

For a second there, Newton-John and John Travolta almost starred in the sequel.

“They did ask us,” she revealed to Cohen. “They approached John and I to do it and it didn’t happened and I didn’t think it was gonna happen and then they made it with other people. So that’s my memory of it.”

And she recently sat down to watch the film with Travolta and her husband John Easterling.

“He spends a lot of time in the Amazon rain forest, so he really hadn’t seen it,” Newton-John told PEOPLE Now of Easterling. “So John Travolta invited us to dinner — we went to his house. And he had his plane parked outside as you do. And he invited us onto the plane for desert. Because I told him [John] had never seen the movie. And he had the movie playing on the plane while we had desert. So he got to see it that way.”

“He said, you know that’s a really good movie!” Netwton-John revealed. “He said, ‘You look better now!’ So what can be better than that?”
