madara is not at full strengh right now. As madara said in the manga "if he didnt keep some things from itachi, he would be died" which to me means at his present state and since itachi was the only one who could kill him "maybe" it doesnt matter anymore. Although he is collecting all the tailed beasts mainly for himself so he can restore his power{if you all didnt know that was "one" of his main reason"
