In my opinion, 音楽 is a way of conveying your feelings towards a particular subject. Virtually every song has SOME sort of purpose または meaning to it when あなた think about it.
Rave songs are meant to make あなた feel energetic. Speed metal makes あなた want to do the mile. 愛 songs are meant to make あなた in a romantic mood (or even horny, in some cases. XD) アニメ openings prepare あなた for an adventure
When I think of what 音楽 means to me, what first comes to mind is the way it has helped me with my anxiety, whether that’s directly (calming down/relaxing/energizing によって listening to music) または indirectly (motivating me to do something with my 愛 of 音楽 as a way of bettering myself). Coincidentally, that’s what led me to this site as well as a few more; I feel the need to somehow connect with others that enjoy the same 音楽 as me.
音楽 for me, ideally, is an escape and provides a sense of fellowship.
