I love having the actual DVD.. you get to rewatch it whenever and see it so much better.. I don't really like watching movies online it takes too long to load :S
I love buying movies, I am completely against renting, any movie you want to watch you can find on the internet watch for free and buy it if you like it. I love buying movies I haven't seen too. I am a movie buying freak, in the last month I've bought about 15 movies but 5 are for x-mas presents and I never pay full price.
I will buy the movie before I'll rent it you can usually get a good deal on previously veiwed movies and if they are not up to par you can return them within a certain time frame for your money back at least were I live you can and It's way cheaper than full price. I have to do it that way other wise I'd be broke.
I started out renting, but haven't rented in ages. I've been buying movies for about 25 years now... and yes, this means I have a lot of VHS tapes in my collection. I didn't start getting into DVD's until about 3-4 years ago. Believe it or not, I still prefer a lot of my tapes. There's some in the collection that are about 30 years old, and have a much better picture than what some of the current DVD's do. Very few have degraded over the years, and I'm glad because I own a lot of stuff that's not even available on DVD. ...and yes, I do still have a functional VCR.
I do, but depends on the genre. I watch new releases online, and buy lods of movies from the 5dollar bin at Walmart. I got A River Runs Through It for $5, it's great!
Never watched a movie over the net, I just rent and buy them. I'm with the Countess, I have heaps of VHS tapes, you can get great movies second hand from the video store for a couple of dollars.
