Okay so let me start out by saying that I love all of these options! You've all seen me fangirl about the majority of them, but I wanted to acknowledge that some of them can be over-hyped. I still love them, but I think it's important to be able to acknowledge that things we love can be overrated, and characters we adore aren't flawless, perfect beings!

13 Reasons Why - I love this show, not even gonna lie I wouldn't even call it a guilty pleasure because I don't feel guilty about it! BUT! I definitely can acknowledge peoples criticisms about it.

Game of Thrones - I love Game of Thrones, don't get me wrong I think overall it's an excellent show minus that mostly terrible final season... but the way some fans behave when they hear that someone hasn't watched it, it's just ridiculous! Some shows/movies just aren't for everyone and that's okay!

Daenerys - Again, love her to death and will always defend her, but I can understand why some people get annoyed at how some fans act like she's perfect and could do no wrong!

Tyrion - Basically same as Daenerys, he's an amazing character but I've seen some people get really defensive if someone says he's not their favorite!

Rick and Morty - This one is pretty much solely about the crazed fans! Those idiots who actually went to McDonald's and screamed and shouted over some god damn Szechuan sauce! Get the fuck out of here and stop giving sane, rational fans a bad name!

Stiles - I love Stiles, but as great as he is it can be a little frustrating how the main character, Scott, is almost completely ignored/sidelined in favor of him. Sometimes it feels like certain fans thought the show became Teen Stiles when it was meant to be focused on Scott. Don't mistake me here, I totally understand why Stiles is so popular but sometimes it felt like people thought he was the only worthwhile character on the show and there were multiple great characters in my opinion!

TBBT - I love The Big Bang Theory but I completely understand some of the criticisms it received. Too often it felt like the writers wanted you to think these male characters were so sympathetic just because they were "nerds/dorks" but in reality they could all be quite problematic at times.

Felicity - I adore Felicity but I do acknowledge that some of her fans over-hype her to the point that it got really annoying for some Arrow fans.

Olicity - Same as with Felicity, I love Olicity but I can understand why some people were turned off by the attitudes of certain fans.

Brooke - Okay! Y'all know I love Brooke Penelope Davis ♥ That's my girl forever, but something I've noticed over the past few years is that almost every article that's written about OTH, on Buzzfeed for example, they put Brooke on a pedestal and act like no other character on the show ever went through anything, never accomplished anything great, etc. I can't tell you how many times I've seen articles/headlines about how Brooke is the best, most inspiring character on OTH/in general, yet Peyton & Haley never get that kind of attention and I think they're both also equally deserving of that same praise! Don't get me wrong, I think Brooke is amazing and deserves praise, but I wish it was more equal!

Damon - I love Damon, but I totally understand why he's not everyone's cup of tea. He could definitely rub people the wrong way, but I love him nonetheless.

Delena - OTP forever but I acknowledge that some of the DE fans were insane!

Friends - OKAY, don't kill me Maria & Nic! I love Friends, it will always be an important part of my life - I grew up with this show and I will always love it. BUT! I definitely agree with some of the criticisms newer audiences have brought up. For example, there were hardly any characters that weren't white and straight, and while we can say "it was a different time", it still is a little problematic to look back at some of the jokes/comments that were made. While Friends will always be iconic imo, I definitely agree that some parts don't hold up so well. {Let's be real, that is true for a lot of shows from the 90's - early 2000's}

Ross/Rachel - Ross and Rachel were such an iconic couple for me growing up, I will forever adore their first kiss. I will always have a soft spot for them, but as I've gotten older I've realized that I wouldn't be able to tolerate certain aspects of their relationship now that I'm an adult and know more. I think a lot of this goes with what I said about certain parts of Friends in general not holding up so well today.

Batman {the animated/comics version mostly} - I don't really have a specific issue with Batman/Bruce Wayne, I've always liked the character but over the past few years I've just gotten a little irritated with the overzealous Batman fanboys who insist that you're an idiot if Batman isn't your #1 favorite character. The way that some of the fanboys act like he's this ultimate perfect character who can do no wrong... it's really annoying! And don't get me started on Batman Vs Superman!! It makes no sense, Superman would destroy Batman if we were being realistic!!

Frozen - I personally ADORE everything Frozen, but I understand why some people get annoyed by it.

MCU - My opinion here is similar to GoT - I personally love the MCU totally, but I understand and respect that not everyone is into the superhero genre and it's frustrating when you see people harassing others for not being into the MCU.

Beyonce - I love Beyonce, I think she's very talented, but man... the fucking "Beyhive" is insane and they make you not want to admit to being her fan sometimes!

One Direction - MY BABIES!! I will love and defend them until I die, but I acknowledge that a lot of their fans could be fucking crazy!

Stranger Things - It's a great show, one of my favorites actually, but people get really defensive and critical if you haven't watched it or you're not like super in love with it.

So yeah! as you can see, a lot of these have to do with how fans react to stuff - they take it too far and over-hype shit and it just gets irritating.

I love both 13RW & GOT but yeah I can understand why some people might find them overrated.

Options that I love and find overrated all the while: Marvel, Beyoncé, Frozen, Delena & Tyrion.

I've never understood the hype over them tbh. Sorry DE fans :p

well rr are not overrated.. most friends fans prefer mondler & they are really hated on tumblr! as for friends, i don't think the point of the show was to convey politically correct mesagges (like not having not white characters is not a reason to be considered overrated). but like every american sitcom it had some extra jokes, made fun of more serious situations and was based on the chemistry between the main characters.
+ well even though it was early 90's it portrayed a lesbian wedding!
