they kind of don't have a choice, with the politics of the royal family right now they definitely have a point to prove. kate and william have been portrayed as the fairytail romance, they can't back away from that, the royal family need a successful marriage to overshadow the disastrous marriages of practically all of the current royal family, the royal family need to be a level of perfect that is unreachable by the public, it's just how the construction of a monarchy works, their lives need to be desirable.
