End of Chapter 8
***Bella's POV***
"Bella." Esme 発言しました as she knelt 次 to me. "Bella, I don't know if he can hear you, but if he can..then あなた are what he would want to hear."
I turned and looked at Esme, my glare anything but friendly. I was beginning to loose myself in my sorrow when I looked up and realized that Esme must be suffering as well. Three of her five children had been struck with a mystery illness. I reached out for her hand, smiling slightly as she wrapped her hand in mine. She walked over and knelt 次 to me, her other hand went to touch Edward's side.
"Bella, we will make this all right again."
"I know Esme, do あなた mind if I stay for a while?" I asked, the tears starting to build up in my eyes.
"Of course." She said.
I think that Esme was going to say something else, but at that very moment Edward's eyes opened and he began to scream.
Chapter 9
***Edward's POV***
The last thing I remembered was hearing a 'whooshing' sound inside my ears, then everything froze...stopped. It was the most horrifying thing that had ever happened to me.
Alice had just asked me what was happening when I...I can't describe it. It felt like someone grabbed the middle of my stomach and pulled, pulled with all their might. It almost felt like I was being turned inside out, または pulled down a well. I screamed as loud as I could, but the sound echoed back through my head. I wanted to scream at Carlisle または yell for Alice または Rosalie, wondering if they could hear me now...but I was scared.
Fear took over my entire body, froze me to...wait where was I? I remembered falling to the ground, but I couldn't still be lying on the floor could I? I tried looking around, but I...I couldn't move, at all.
"Edward?" Someone called, their voice sounded like they miles away.
"Who?" I tried to say, but the words only went through my mind.
"Edward, how?"
"Alice?" I thought, hoping it was her I was hearing.
"Edward, I'm scared."
"Me too Alice." I admitted, fear tingling through my entire being.
"Edward, あなた must get out. The things that I have seen, または think I have seen...I'm so confused." Alice's voice sounded like a small child, a child who had just seen the boogyman.
"Alice, what happened?"
"Edward, how?" She asked again.
"I don't know Alice, we were trying to figure this all out...and now I'm here."
"Edward, I'm scared."
"I know Alice, I am too."
"Edward, あなた must get out. The things I have seen, または think I have seen....I'm so confused."
I realized that Alice had just 発言しました the exact thing over to me...like she was a tape recorder that was stuck in a loop. I had so many things to ask her, that I had to know. I was about to start asking her 質問 when I heard the only voice that could break my concentration.
"Edward? Edward, this isn't funny. Please, please look at me..please tell me this will be alright." Bella's voice called to me, my body shaking...she must have been shaking me as if she could wake me.
"Alice?" I called, hoping she would hear me.
"Edward? Edward, I'm scared." She started to say everything over again.
"Alice, listen to me. What do あなた remember before the darkness?" I pleaded.
"The red light. The red light. The red light. Edward? Edward, I'm scared."
I was about to ask her about the red light when I started to feel my hands and feet again. It started as a dull tingling, but quickly intensified. Within 秒 it felt like I had been set into a fire, my entire body burning. I tried squeezing my eyes shut, but instead they snapped open.
I looked around, seeing Bella and Esme kneeling 次 to me as if they were praying. I wanted to say something, to let them know that I was here, that I was alright..but when I opened my mouth a scream escaped.
I tried to instantly close my mouth, knowing that the sound would upset both of them, but for some reason I couldn't control my muscles.
"Edward?" Carlisle 発言しました as he ran over started shining his light in my eyes. "Edward, you're ok son. Please calm down."
I tried again to close my mouth, but was unable to. I managed to slow my breath so that the sound wasn't as loud, but couldn't stop the sound.
"Edward, please look at me." Bella's voice called from 次 to my head, she reached out and turned my head so that I was looking into her チョコレート brown eyes.
I forced my mouth to close, knowing that the sound was upsetting her. I looked up at her, wanting to say everything but not trusting my mouth. I feared that if I opened my mouth that I would begin screaming again.
"Edward? Please talk to me. Let me know あなた are ok, that あなた can hear me." Bella said, staring directly into my eyes.
I opened my mouth, hoping that I could control myself. I focused all of my attention on not scaring Bella, but when I opened my mouth the screaming began again. I tried to close my mouth again but wasn't able to, I saw Bella blink a few times then she pressed her lips over mine, ending the scream that was still building.
She pulled back once I had finished screaming, I blinked up at her a few times hoping that she would understand what I was trying to tell her.
"Anytime." She 発言しました as she blushed, the blush spreading to her ears.
I managed to wink at her before she stepped back, and Carlisle leaned in front of my face. I was going to open my mouth and ask for Bella to come back when I felt her hand ラップ around mine.
"Edward, can あなた move?" Carlisle asked.
I wiggled my toes and my fingers, then tried bending my knees and eventually trying to sit up. When I was sitting with a little help from Esme I tried again to open my mouth. I was worried, I didn't want to scream anymore...I didn't want to scare Esme and Bella.
"Alice." I whispered, knowing everyone heard me.
"Alice?" Jasper said...and one 秒 later he was leaning in front of me. "Did あなた see her?"
"No." I whispered. "I..communicated with her."
"And?" Emmett asked. "What about Rosalie?"
"Alice is scared, she kept saying the same thing over and over..well except for the last time. She 発言しました red light." I 発言しました as I looked at Carlisle.
"Red light?" Esme asked.
"Yes, red light."
"What about Rosalie?" Emmett asked.
"No I didn't hear her, I'm sorry Emmett." I 発言しました softly.
"Red light. Red light?" Carlisle 発言しました to himself racking his brain as he tried to figure out the meaning.
