well Chastain had a new film coming out, how are the normal promo events “desperate for an Oscar”?? she’s been working hard in the past 2 years and did 5 (or I should say 7, since the original tDoER has 2 films) amazing films and played such amazing and strong female characters, it’s nothing wrong with celebrating those great performances and promoting them and letting people see them.
