“I'm going to miss you”. My mother told me before I boarded the plane to Washington State. Two months 前 I had agreed to 移動する to Forks to live with my father Charlie, to give my mother and her husband Phil some space. I hadn't seen Charlie in forever. When I was little I used to visit him every summer but that stopped around when I was 13. I still kept in contact with him though.
My Father picked me up from the airport. Oh, and did I forget to mention it was in his police cruiser. Great, how much もっと見る embarrassing could it get. I'd forgotten that he was the police chief, the whole town was probably anticipating my arrival. “Wow I haven't seen あなた in a while, Bella. You've grown a lot.” Charlie 発言しました on the ride there. I just simply nodded and stared フォワード, 前進, 楽しみにして into traffic. Forks was a small and gloomy town. There wasn't much to expect when it came to the weather, except for rain.
によって time we arrived at the house it was already 5pm. The house was just like I'd remembered it. We pulled into the driveway, and I noticed that there was already another car parked in front of the house. It looked like an old Chevy , it was a rusted red colour. “Bella do あなた remember Billy Black?” he asked as he stepped out of the car. Billy Black... I recognized the name faintly.
“ Wait, do あなた mean Billy who あなた always used to go fishing with?” I volunteered. Charlie smiled, I must have been right. I remember Billy had twin daughters, Rachel and Rebecca. Though every time they came up, Charlie and Billy always expected us to get along. But since they were older than me they always ignored me and suggested I play with their younger brother Jacob.
“Yes, that's the one.” Charlie told me. “Billy's son rebuilds cars with old parts. Anyways they 発言しました that あなた could have this one.” Charlie continued, pointing to the pick-up truck. “ It's sort of a welcome ホーム gift.” charlie finished excitedly.
“Really! Thanks Dad. あなた didn't have to.” I replied thankfully. It was already getting late, so we decided just to order in pizza. After eating Charlie sat down to watch some TV, and I headed up to my room to unpack my stuff. My room was basically purple, with various shades. I unpacked my clothes into a few of the empty drawers and turned my computer on and checked tomorrow's weather forecast. Yes! It was going to be 62.6 Fahrenheit (17 Celsius). It was the only nice 日 within the 次 week. I ran downstairs, to find my father exactly where I'd left him. “ こんにちは Dad, do あなた mind if I go around and see the town and the high school tomorrow?” I asked him. He muted the TV and turned around.
“Yes, of course. That's probably a good idea, but I have to go up to the station tomorrow so you'll have to do that on your own.” he responded, while un-muting the TV.
“That's okay” I responded to the air as I walked back upstairs to my bedroom. I layed down on my ベッド figuring I should probably get some sleep. I dozed off a few 分 later.
I woke to the sound of an alarm clock, that I never set. It was 9:00 am. I hopped out of ベッド and went downstairs. I guess Charlie never went up to ベッド because he was fast asleep on the ソファー, ソファ with the TV on a low volume. On the キッチン counter there was a box of cereal. After searching through the cabinets I finally found a bowl. I poured myself some cereal and grabbed a spoon. I guess the noise must have woken Charlie up because he turned off the TV and joined me at the キッチン table. “Morning, Bella.” Charlie greeted me. “Your still going to look around town today right?” He asked me.
“Yes, I'm going to leave after I get dressed.” I told him, as I placed my bowl in the dishwasher. “And Thanks again for the car.” He nodded. I went back to my ベッド and through on a pair of black sweat pants and a light yellow tee. I packed a backpack with a bottle of water and a sweater just in case I got cold.
I 発言しました bye to Charlie before leaving. I swung open the door to see someone standing as if they were about to knock. He stuck out his hand and 発言しました “Hi I'm Jacob Black I'm not sure if あなた remember me. I came によって to welcome あなた back and ask what あなた think about the car.” He said, as I stepped outside to 登録する him. This was the little boy that I used to make mud pies with. I laughed silently to myself.
“I was just leaving あなた can 登録する me if you'd like, I'm just going to look around the town.” I responded. He nodded and joined me in the passenger seat.
