The 次 morning I walked slowly down to breakfast. Kagome was there. I sat down quietly.

“Kyoko?” Kagome said. I looked at her. “Are あなた okay?”

I nodded and starting to eat. Everyone was staring at me.

“What!” I demanded, glaring at each of them.

“You know,” grandpa said. “this is the first time we are eating together in a while so あなた could stand to cheer up a little.”

I stood up and gathered my dishes together. I put them in the sink and stomped out of the room.

“Boy trouble,” I heard Kagome say. I walked to my room and sat on the bed.
