Why was Roger the only wearing a green uniform?

I know the 質問 sounds a little weird but I always wondered why Roger wore a different color uniform than everyone else on the base. I grew up watching reruns of the 表示する and it recently started to air again and I still don't know why.


I hope someone is able to answer this question.

when i was in the us army i was stationed at edwards afb from 76-83. i knew the first ''official'' army astronauts who were stationed there as well as army test pilots. i used to kid majors robert stewart and woody spring that roger healy was the first army astronaut. lol

Roger wears green because he is in the US Army Corps of Engineers, on detached service to NASA. Everyone else is Air Force (mostly).
