A/N:
So, this is sort of a House/Cuddy/Lucas fic, honestly it just depends on how あなた look at it. I'm not sure if this fic is worth continuing または not, so this maybe a one shot... who knows!
But, the italics are flashbacks, and normal 書く means your back in the present. Figured I'd tell あなた guys that just in case あなた guys would get confused または something. Anyways, please let me know what あなた think! :))
The evening of Saturday came tortuously slow. Finally, it was time… time to walk down the imaginatively glowing white carpet that seemed 2.6 miles long. When your feet start to 移動する closer to the チェリー wood double doors, your mind explodes. As if you’re seeing you’re most memorable memories in a side によって side slide 表示する in your head. あなた try to shake your head nonchalantly, hoping to scatter them somewhere else besides the center of your brain. Instead, it back fired, mentally putting the first beloved memory of them all, you’re first conversation with him.
“You’re overly ambitious, have a chip on your shoulder, and あなた know how to party.”
“…You’re making that up.”
“You’re class schedule is overloaded, but none of your classes are before 11, and no one takes Professor Lamb’s course, unless they have something to prove.”
The first memory fades, switching to another one.
Your naked bodies press gently and messily to one another’s in the squeaky uncomfortable twin-sized bed. Both of your hands are intertwined behind your head, your legs oddly wrapped around his lanky ones, and all your ten toes twiddling at the same time tickling his lower back. The liquor you’ve consumed tonight shouldn’t let あなた still notice these certain little details, but あなた do notice them, because the minor, small details were with him, not anyone else.
You’re father rubs gently on your goose-bump arm, awakening あなた from the past, to the present.
“Almost time.”
Your father’s voice is shaky from age, but あなた still can hear the 愛 in just those two words.
あなた give a small, heart-warming smile at him, then あなた stand, grabbing onto your fathers arm, waiting for the doors to be opened.
Just when あなた begin to think your mind has powered off, it starts up again, right as the doors open. Shakiness is what your legs are feeling, as they finally begin to walk down the isle. あなた think あなた hear the people say “aww”, または somewhat of that extent when they see あなた in your wedding dress, but あなた don’t hear it.
The people in the pews fade around you, another memory coming to the forefront.
“You want to hire me?”
“Yes, even though that’s hard for me to even believe, but I do. I’m planning on starting a Department of Diagnostics, and you’re the only person I could think of that would be interested in this type of job.”
“I’m not doing it unless there’s good money in it, there are plenty of hospital administrators just aching to hire me.”
“No, there isn’t. You’ve been tossed around from hospital to hospital, and あなた have no job as of right now. So, you’ll start out at a descent salary.”
“…When can I start?”
"You okay, honey?”
You’re father asks quietly, before he decides to give あなた away.
あなた breathe nervously, and nod your head. He releases you, as the Jewish preacher does his normal routine, and asks who give this woman away.
“ I do.”
Your father states, sweetly and proudly.
あなた walk up the two steps slowly, and あなた look at Lucas for the first time, as あなた stand directly infront of him.
The preacher begins talking, and あなた aren’t listening one bit. Because, it hits you, right then. When you’re walking down the isle, the memories of the one you’re in 愛 with, should run and jump and bounce against the memory walls of your brain, and he did. It wasn’t Lucas, it was House. And, it will stay that way forever and always.
