Here is a eccentric and eclectic selection of bizarro short stories によって one of the leading writers in the field Andersen Prunty.
There are over twenty tales in all, covering such weirdness as a man who puts a dog into orbit, a father who throws rocks at a kids head, a balloon-man who loses his secret power and a competition that revolves around injuring pedestrians to earn points and win money.
All these stories are exceptionally well written, brimming with invention and weirdness. Some lean on the horrific side of literature, some the もっと見る humorous and some a wild mixture of sorrow, fear and hope.
If あなた are new to the bizarro fiction movement, あなた could start here quite happily. This book isn't as extreme in terms of sex and violence as other collections but none the less an enthralling read about seeing the world through a glass askew.
Teenager Matt moves to a new town. Feeling lonely and uncomfortable, he welcomes the kindness his new teacher Ms Hayden shows him...not to mention the teacher being easy on the eye. His teenage dreams soon comes true when Ms Hayden draws closer to the boy and starts to respond to his fumbling advances but in a truly nasty twist on 'beware what あなた wish for' mythos, Ms Hayden soon turns into a monstrosity of a woman who has murderous intent, cunning and evil running deep through her veins.
Matt world is turned upside down in hellish fashion and the few フレンズ he has managed to gain also becomes...

This is a short short collection によって 作者 Norman Partridge. It contains both fiction and non-fiction content all based around the ハロウィン season.

The writer does a very clever and unique thing with this collection as he recalls his childhood, growing up with the classic monsters of the time e.g Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman etc also including the old creepy comic 本 人気 back then and how he and his フレンズ used to enjoy the ハロウィン season. From these golden memories he flips it to the the ハロウィン 年 when the real bogeyman came out to play; The Zodiac Killer. It's a very interesting...

This a short story collection that spans two things that I enjoy 読書 the most; horror and bizarre.
Although the タイトル of this book alludes to it being all about apocalypses, it is not. While there are some tales here that are about the end of the world, many もっと見る are very personal takes on the horrific and/or weird.
There are over twenty short stories included. Some of which are, the evolution and destruction of self aware trash puppets. A man who has 赤ちゃん mysteriously appear in his apartment. A down- trodden young woman who finds out something disturbing about her father. A man endlessly...

Even amongst the mounting technology and digital enhancement that dominates the world today myths prevail, whether it be something as abstract as superstition または something as deep-rooted as curses and rituals, people still pass on twisted tales of fairies, goblins, the アンダーワールド and the wrath of scorned Gods long forgotten but still ablaze with power. Being a ファン of extreme horror I had high hopes for this collection. I haven't read anything によって John Putignano before so I was also excited to find a new horror 作者 that I can follow in the future. Happily I have.

This book is a collection of short stories all based または somehow revolving around the concepts of Hell, demons, Satan または dark taboo's. From necrophilia to cannibalism, madness, possession, Satanic rituals and murder all feature along with added oddities like harmonious frogs, strange medical conditions and even a quick mention of Horror Hero H.P.Lovecraft. Despite the relative narrowness...

For anyone who knows the work of 作者 Edward Lee, あなた probably know the high quality of his 書く and also the sort of horror topics he covers. There's nothing here to disappoint his fans. For those of あなた who haven't read any of Mr Lee's other work well... let's just say あなた got a big shock coming to you.

Let me be honest, the short stories available in this collection are most definitely not for the weak of stomach of faint of heart. In fact out of all the short horror fiction I have read, some of the stories contained within this collection are some of the most disturbing I have ever...

This is an excellent book. The 作者 manages to weave numerous characters, scenarios and themes together seamlessly. If あなた like vampires, 狼男 または zombies または just like a good 'end of the world' yarn then you'll find something here to enjoy. The story is subtly underpinned によって a religious tone that while being moralistic stays clear of being too preachy as to put the reader off. Add to that moments of sparkling wit and pitch black humour あなた have yourself a very entertaining and intelligent novel where the twists and turns in the plot flow as freely as the buckets of gore.A brilliant horror novel. Enjoy. Thank あなた for reading.
On July 1991 Jeffrey Dahmer the notorious cannibalistic serial killer was captured によって police.
On November 28, 1994 Dahmer was beaten to death によって another inmate...Or was he?
What if Jeff didn't really die that day. What if it was all a elaborate hoax? What if Dahmer found a way to escape jail によって faking his own death?
These 'what-if's' are the basis for this taut gripping story. Part horror. Part conspiracy theory. Part police procedural. This story is all the もっと見る terrifying for the amazing amount of detail and believability that is imbued on every page.

Detective Helen Closs is a highly successful...

An inventive, enjoyable and surprisingly heart-warming take on the serial killer thriller.

Charlie is a quiet man. He keeps himself to himself at work, 閲覧数 the world through highly practical eyes, is meticulous to a fault and incredible thrifty. He avoids any kind of personal contact with people and cares not a jot about anybody's feelings, desires, ideas または personalities. He is also a very successful serial killer. Keeping his killings to a strict schedule, he allows himself to hunt for a new victim once every two months and always aims for victims which he considers low risk i.e junkies...

After following the Horror Society on Twitter for a while, I was very excited to read this book. The people in the society know their stuff and with this book no gut is left un-churned, no twist denied and no moral ground left intact.
Included are eleven short stories:
LOAF DIVINE によって Canaan Frank: A hotel seeks out the twisted secrets that lie within the past and conscience of a man
DEAD RINGERS によって David Blackthorn: College students have an eventful night sleeping amongst the graves of plague victims
A VAMPIRE WALKS INTO A BAR によって Aaron 線, レイ Ballard: A bar that plays host to many unnatural beasts...

The best thing about this short story collection is it's brazenness. It is violently visceral book staining with gore and bulging with pure nastiness. In short it's a book that any real literary horror ファン should relish.
The stories include:
HEIRLOOM によって Michael Laimo: An inherited ライフル holds terrible memories and depraved secrets for a seriously demented killer.
VIOLENCE FOR FUN AND PROFIT によって Gregory L.Norris: Vengeance becomes political manifesto in this warped view of post-Bush America.
AMPUTATIONS IN THE KEY OF D によって Jack Maddox: A rock 星, つ星 goes for a routine wart removal and ends up losing...

There is an over-abundance of werewolf tales available in all forms of entertainment so finding a fresh take on this old story is very difficult but this book manages to discover one. The idea here is that a 狼, オオカミ lives within some people (albeit latent) just sitting there waiting for the right set of circumstances and a large amount of provocation.

The story revolves around a everyday guy called Syd, for whom life is downbeat and boring then one 日 Nora walks into his life who precedes, within a very short 宇宙 of time, to turn his humdrum life upside down. Nora is no normal woman and the...

Horror stories evoke fear; it is the nature of the beast. So rarely do あなた find a horror story that causes other emotions to stir. But a good horror writer knows that in order for the fear to really pay off あなた have to engage the readers with not just the concept of the story but with the characters that populate the world of the story. So what if a character あなた don't care about dies? No matter how visceral または detailed that characters demise, without invested emotions it just doesn't resonate.
Luckily for the reader, with this story, あなた will care.

This is the first John Everson story I have read and after this I will definitely によって 読書 more. If this gruesome, bleak and gory little tale is anything like his other works, true horror ファン should not be disappointed.

In this novella we met three kids, all on a rapid downward spiral. Unpopular and rejected によって others, desperate and pitiful in their actions, wasting their lives with drugs, sex, self-mutilation and suicidal thinking. All class themselves as complete failures until along comes Aaron. An older gentlemen who feasts on the ripe opportunity to lure the three no-hoper's into a horrific...

Let me first say that I do not read Sci-fi very often. I'm もっと見る of a horror fan, but this book has enough absolutely terrifying versions of the future または different realities that, to me, it can be classified as horror because there is nothing もっと見る frightening than the unknown.
Included:
HOW TO MAKE A HUMAN によって Martin Rose: Robots made to re-create humans after Armageddon find the intricacies of the human soul difficult to duplicate.
ANGIE によって John F.D Taff: A bittersweet tale of loyalty and 愛 in the face of a zombie apocalypse backed によって the old 'Rolling Stones' song.
