I think Fleur was trying too hard to be liked at first, but I also think the Weasleys should've trusted Bill a tad more.

I don't think Bill was too looks obsessed, but Fleur proved in GoF that she was shallow and looked down on others she deemed unworthy. What, were they just supposed to assume that because she was dating Bill she'd automatically changed, without having any proof? Don't think so.

How would the parents know what she was like in GoF?

I think they were too harsh on her, she proved to be good for Bill in the end.

The people who were at Hogwarts at the time (Ginny, Ron, Fred, George, Hermione...) all knew what she was like.

Sure shes part Siren and they are supposed to use their beauty to lure men to their deaths.... I don't know what I'm getting at anymore...

I love the weaslys But Mama Weasly wraps her boys and Ginny in cotton wool all the time... They shouldn't have judged too quickly.

I don't hate Fleur (anymore) but I do think they were right not to trust her at first as Ginny said Fluer was treating her like a little girl, Mocking Molly's music taste, treating everyone like she was better than them.
Admittedly she did change and Molly grew to accept Fleur into the family.

I think as awkward and "bitch much" as she was in GOF, Fleur tried to impress her new family, and it wasn't completely her fault Molly didn't like her.
