I think Draco was a product of his parents (mostly his fathers, I think) twisted views, so I don't think it was entirely his fault. However, he still said all those mean things to the Trio, and was a bully. On the other hand, he didn't give Harry up to the Death Eaters at Malfoy Manor, and he wasn't going to kill Dumbledore. I think, deep down, he knew what he was doing was wrong, but wasn't brave enough to say anything.

Hmm... I think he changed after the wizarding war. Not completely, but for the most part, yes. We don't know if he still hates "Mudbloods" and "blood traitors", but I don't think he has a side any more. From what I understood in the epilogue, he neither dislikes them or likes them; they're just sort of there. I don't think he would outright defend someone if they were called a 'Mudblood', but he wouldn't be the one insulting them, either. It's not like he LIKES Muggles and Mudbloods, he just doesn't MIND them now.

Whether or not Draco is bad or good is debatable. He was raised by two deatheaters, therefore it's not necessarily his fault for hating muggles and mudbloods. Draco in my opinion, is not the villain. Sure he's a bully, but he could never kill anyone and I'm pretty sure he doesn't approve of Bellatrix torturing Hermione. I don't think Draco ever wanted to be deatheater. It was just the pressure from his family.

Yup, if it's one thing Draco lacks, it's courage to do what he thinks, deep down inside, is really right.
But he still didn't have the guts to kill Dumbly-dorr, so that makes him good in my book. :)

I pitty him. He always thought he's so evil and strong, but ever since Voldemort's back, he realized he's nothing. That must've hurt.
