They were both really sad, but we got to know tonks better so when she was taken away we were already attached to her instead of learning about someone we already knew was dead.

Tonks chose to join the battle so I feel she was more prepared for possible death. Lily was probably having a nice normal evening at home with her husband and toddler son (feeling like a very lucky woamn) then all of a sudden Voldemort shows up at the door and she has to make a life or death decision to save her son in the matter of split seconds;which is sadder to me. Tonks of course was hoping all would be okay and both her and Lupin could return home to their newborn son, but she knew deep down there was a possibility that this would not be the case.

It's just we get to know Tonks.Her hobbies,her funny character,her love for Lupin.And she just had her baby and chose to go and defend Hogwarts.I mean it was really sad :(

I don't remembering seeing Tonks dying so it wasn't to sad for me (Just the fact she just sad her baby was)
But Lily death makes me bawl every time they do a flash bad.
