When people think of Bella's friends, they think of Angela , Jessica, and the other High School kids.
It's just, the thing is, I don't see them really as Bella's friends. Or at least, not "real" friends.
Friendship is based on mutual like and that sort of thing. They sort of attached themselves to Bella....Bella didn't really bond much with any of them.
I guess I consider the Cullens to be her "real" friends. And Jacob. And she was a good friend to them.
@KateKicksAss
thts just a lame excuse for bella being a bad friend.
just face it, she doesnt hav real friends, and she treats them like crap. she leads jacob on. and when edward left her in a deprssion for months, jacob was there for her, when edward was in trouble, she left jacob without a side thought, and goes right back to edward without caring about all he did to her.
she was 'nice' but not exactly what i'd call 'close' friend (to the non-vampire at least)yes, she gave a nice advice to Angela and hang around a little with others, but that's all.
she always seems distant. the only one that I'd call as her real friend is Alice. the other (humans) are more or less just acquaintance.
any decent human with feelings wouldn't want to see any other being (human, animal ,etc) got hurt especially if it's on their conscience.
Friends should mean more, that's why they called friends.
EDIT: Jacob are love interest, NOT what I'd call friend. the intention are already impure for friendship
@claireVoyant Jacob is her best friend along with Alice and she isnt really that close to all her human friends but the people she cares about and truely are her friends she treats them right.
I agree with KateKicksAss. Something life has taught me is that there's a difference between "friends" and friends. (It's very similar to the difference between like and like.)
"Friends" are the people you talk to at school, or work. But you're not really close to them, and don't usually interact with them outside work/school. They don't usually tell you anything personal (unless they're really mad or happy about something), and vice versa. You don't ask their advice on a problem, they don't usually invite you to go on many outings with them. You have some affectionate feelings for them but, if given the chance, they wouldn't be your first pick to hand out with.
Mike, Angela, Jessica, and the like fell into Bella's "friends" category. (And vice versa.) Jessica never told Bella anything personal unless it involved her social standing. Bella was only ever invited to "hang with the gang" twice -- and one of those was dress shopping. Jessica and Angela didn't wait for Bella to get back before having dinner. Angela and Mike didn't start talking about Bella behind her back when Edward left, but they also never extended a hand and offer any sort of help, either.
Bella never really made an effort to become friends with "the gang" and "the gang" never really made an effort to be friends with her. They all fell into each other's "friends" category.
I wouldn't really enjoy the world if every single person had to be a good friend.

what a HORRIBLE friend!
