Bella: Lust and pride (he chose her above everyone else)

basically it went like this:
bella- Oh my, look at that random hottie over there, he's so nice, but he looks like he want to eat me. Argh his skin is cold and he is a vampire! no worries, he is my love forever.
Edward: wow she smells yummy. I'm going to marry her and have a baby

Both for me as well. I believe that Edward was in lust with Bella because he was drawn in by her blood and Bella was in lush with Edward because of his looks. I felt like Edward only wanted to keep her alive so that he wouldn't have the urge to suck her blood (if she were to get hit by a car or something). So he was more like a shield for Bella at first. After he left and came back I really felt that he was beginning to love Bella. Especially in Breaking Dawn when (later on in the pregnancy) he was so determined to keep Renesmee (sp?) to keep Bella happy.

With Bella, I felt like it was a lust thing a majority of the series. Her depression stage in New Moon was all in her head. She was just too stubborn to let it go. Jacob really did love Bella, though.

No one can fall in completely love like that, it took what two weeks and a few conversations? they never seem to have that many things in common beside music and not valuing themselves.

Love. There are plenty of love/romantic stories where a couple falls madly in love with each other within a very short span of time, or even at first sight - Romeo and Juliet anyone? It's not the only kind of romance around, but it does exist and is common enough. Sometimes you just really click with a person and they likewise with you. There's also lust in there, and that's part of what makes it a great romance. Who wants to read about a hero and heroine who grimace and have to avert their eyes from each other every time they kiss?

i think that most if it -not all, just most- is lust.
i don't think the love in this story was very realistic, either. when they met, Bella had a huge crush on him. Why? Because of his looks. that kind of makes her a bit shallow, since she knows nothing about the guy. Edward also falls in 'love' with her because firstly, she is 'pretty', is a klutz, and he can't read her mind.
Bella has love for him- but the majority of the time, she's exclaiming "Edward is so beautiful, today his eyes are amber and his hair is perfectly styled! I love what he's wearing (describes what he's wearing). I want him to bite me so i can be a vampire but before that i want to have sex! Yaaaa!"
on the whole i think Edward has more love than Bella does. what Bella has is mostly lust, but Edward doesn't really believe that the most important thing is sex. hell no, he wants to get married. I think that Edward is annoying in how he is so perfect and so selfish and shallow, not to mention the fact that he doesn't let Bella DO anything, but i think he has more love for Bella than Bella has for him.

I always say that it was originally lust. Edward couldn't physically be around Bella without wanting to kill her. Her blood was so tempting that he had to leave. She however, was attracted to him because like he said ... 'everything about him' draws her in. It was almost as if she was in love with the idea of being in love with him.

But after that I genuinely believe that they fell in love with each other. He got over the temptation to kill her etc. I feel like if Bella was <b>obsessed</i> with Edward, she wouldn't have rejected his proposal so many times, she would have jumped at the opportunity.
