MissChris1974 I think she is pretty. A little plump maybe, but a very pretty face. Who cares if Bella shares some of her features? We tend to write about things we know or can relate to.

Italktosnakes Yeah, but there's a difference between being similar, and being identical. Like JK Rowling admits that she can see bit of her younger self in Hermione. And Harry and JK share the same birthday. But Bella is practically identical to Stephanie, physically anyway.

MissKnowItAll I think she is pretty enough, but it's very odd that there are so many similarities between them. They aren't even remotely coincidental- they've obviously been thought out and made that way.

1-2vampire It's because Stephanie had a romantic dream of her and some freaky sparkly vampire-type thing, and then wrote the meadow bit down. And wrote around it, describing Bella as herself, and imagining it as her being a seventeen year old girl with a way-too-old-for-her supposedly seventeen year old sparkly fairy.
