M16

HeyHarv I qualified with a 16 at White Sands 1968. I got to Phu Bai and was issued a 14. Heavier, but sooo accurate. Separate grenade launcher. I was a 31m so did not need a lot of fire power. Just a carbine or pistol or m49. I was the ammo belt mule. I did not complain because the ammo was for my squad's m60, and my protection. Nice image, but really modern looking compared to the fantastic plastic rifle I used occasionally.
