On other spots, people usually have a good understanding of the MBTI (Myers-Briggs type indicator). It's a psychology assessment which shows one's personality TYPE, not their actual personality - basically it shows how you function.
First function: Extroversion (E) vs. Introversion (I)
Second function: Sensing (S) vs. iNtuition (N)
Third function: Feeling (F) vs. Thinking (T)
Fourth function: Perceiving (P) vs. Judging ( J)
You can Google it for a better understanding.
Sorry to confuse all of you, but I'm also on the Disney Princess spot, where pretty much everybody has a good understanding of this concept, so I assumed it would be the same here.

But why is Marley an extrovert and Jake an introvert? Shouldn't it be reversed?

It can't possibly be reversed. Jake is probably the most introverted character on Glee, and Marley is very friendly and loves to be part of a team. I think Marley was intended to be an introvert, but she is portrayed as having a slight, or possibly even moderate, preference for extroversion.

Personally, I'm an ISFJ, like Ryder, or the introverted Marley. I personally think I was most accurate with Tina.
