Obviously there's no way for us peasants to know for sure, but if I had to guess it would be based on views. So like if あなた have an image for your #1 all-time producer it's probably been viewed a lot (and therefore pops up on google) even if it doesn't have many (or any) fans.
ゴールド is earned によって your contributions when people ファン them, コメント on them または even just view them. Obviously, if an item has earned もっと見る ゴールド than any other contribution あなた have, it goes to the 上, ページのトップへ of your 上, ページのトップへ ゴールド producers list. If its tied, I guess the 一覧 is random. The 上, ページのトップへ 最近 一覧 is what's earned ゴールド in the last 日 または so, while all time is for the last 6 months (that's as far back as the ゴールド system can go).
