Elena Gilbert: Why she is one of the strongest characters

Throughtout each season of The Vampire Diaries, I noticed that もっと見る people are starting to dislike Elena as a character. They say she is a slut, whore and one of the most undeveloped characters on the show. I disagree with these people for several reasons.

1. After becoming a vampire, people thought that Elena would become a better character and be able to defend herself like when Caroline became a vampire. However,some thought that she didn't improve and just became worse. Some think she cried and complained too much (in the episode memorial and when she killed Connor) They disliked her and even didn't like the idea of the cure. Even though I am not the biggest ファン of the cure, this is character development in a way. Her achilles heel is her compassion as mentioned によって Stefan which is why she is not like other vampires. Plus she never wanted this so who can blame her?

When Alaric (rip) says this to Elena, his words have a true meaning behind it. I mean really, she is an eighteen 年 old girl who has gone through a lot. She ロスト her parents in a car crash, her bilogical parents don't really care and they die too, Jenna gets sacrificed, Alaric becomes an Original and recently Jeremy becomes a hunter and her a vampire. This is not what everyone goes through which is why people need to take it easy on her.

3. Elena and the Salvatores
Everyone knows that this 表示する is about a 愛三角形 between two brothers and a girl. Then why are people taking out on Elena. In season 4, after she sleeps with Damon, people start getting mad and call her names. First off, Elena isn't any of those things since she slept with Damon AFTER she broke up with Stefan. Sure she could have waited a little bit, but still it's not that bad. Katherine slept with them both at the same time. This is why they are different in a way. Also, people think she is 芝居 the way she is right now because of the sire bond, but it only affects actions not feelings which is 発言しました very well in the show. To conclude, I think people should take it easy on Elena. She may not be the most likable, but she is one of the strongest ones around. あなた don't have to agree with all her decisions since she isn't a perfect character, but no one is. Don't forget Elena is important and there is a reason she is on the show. After all, if there is no elena, there is no vampire diaries.

Only SE fans seem to call Elena a slut n whore since she only exists to suit their shipper needs n complete their couple, otherwise she is a worthless being who shouldn't be given a second glance. God these people! Elena is the most strong-willed n compassionate women in Mystic Falls. She has bore the most heartbreak, the men she loves have caused her immeasurable pain, life has been continuously taking its toll on her, she is never happy for a day without disaster striking her life,her life isn't perfect, she isn't perfect. Instead of trying to understand her misery n pain, fans immediately jump at her throat when she does something that hurts someone. First of all, Elena never asked Stefan n Damon to be in love with her, she never wanted everyone to bend over backwards to save her. Then y do u blame her? I dare people to lose 6 parental figures within a year, get sacrificed by an evil hybrid, have their sole family member a part of some freaky vampire hunter brotherhood, have a sword hanging on their heads 24/7 n still walk around this strong n wild-spirited n protect everyone you love by putting yourself on line. Yes, Elena has made rash decisions, she has made mistakes but come on! no one is perfect. She never wants to hurt anyone, she wants n tries her hardest to keep everyone alive, but she is still punished for some unknown hypocrisy, If she had a wish, she would sacrifice herself n keep everyone safe. Fans really need to get their heads out of their asses n understand Elena neutrally, she isn't there to give your shipper hearts content. She is a person, a teenager who has bore nothing but heartbreak in life. If Elena isn't perfect n a bitch then Caroline, Katherine n Rebekah are even bigger bitches, if u look at their history n present track records. And Stefan, Damon, Tyler n Klaus are also scumbags (I don't believe they are, but if people r going to call Elena a bitch/slut then none of them is any better). For God's sake, cut Elena some slack. HaleyDewit ^ AnamHussain95's comment pretty much sums it up. I admit that I am sometimes pissed at Elena, especially after 3x14, but I get pissed at all the characters and I've never given her any names.
