Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Ed Sheeran Is Taking A Break From Music To Go ‘Off Into The Wilderness’
Ed\'s officially turning off his phone January 1, 2016.
After 179 tour dates, a #1 album and an upcoming concert film, it’s pretty clear why Ed Sheeran needs a well deserved break.
The upcoming 2015 MTV EMA co-host has literally been non-stop for the past year and a half, and while that’s been great for all us Sheerios, it’s been a little tiring for our favorite ginger haired singer.
Ed revealed that after he released his track with Rudimental, “Lay It All On Me,” he would be taking a step back from the spotlight, and when we caught up with him we found out what those time-off plans look like, which he said will start on January 1.
This is my final thing I'm releasing for a while. Bad news if you like me, great news if you don't. We cater for everyone at SheeranCorp
“My plan is to get rid of my iPhone, get rid of internet, get a Nokia 3310 and just go off into the wilderness somewhere for a bit,” he said. “Even if it’s just a month without contact with other people.”
Here’s Why Ed Sheeran’s Not Writing On One Direction’s Next Album
Ed wants to throw away the phone since he said his life consists of constantly texting and answering emails, something he needs to step away from.
“I’ve got to a point where I just don’t want to do that anymore and that’s my life and my career,” he said. “But when I’m in my time off and I don’t have to do it, I’m just going to get rid of it.”
The doesn’t mean he’s not a little worried that he may miss something a little important, but if his friends don’t understand his need for some time off, then that’s pretty much the end of that friendship.
“I’m worried that as soon as I do that, I’ll get an email that I won’t see from someone being like ’We should do something,’ six months later they’ll be like ’you never replied,\'” he said before later adding that his zero internet rule is still in tact. “I’m out, and my view is if people don’t understand that then I don’t really want to be friends with them.”
Enjoy your time off, Ed! We will miss you.
