I haven't seen the sequel, but I definitely can't pick John Smith, I don't like him.

Kocoum's nice, but automatically goes for the "LETS'S GO KILL THEM!" option. John Smith's sort of cocky, but he's really loving and sweet on the inside, and loves Poca for who she really is. I have no words for John Rolfe. I haven't seen the movie in a bit, but remember disliking him as a child. In fact, that entire movie made me go "WTF???", and I hadn't even seen the first Pocahontas yet!

kocoum is okay, and i hate john smith

John Smith is this quintessential egotistical smartass but he shows the most character growth, while Kocoum just stays blah the whole time (and refuses to listen to anyone), and John Rolfe is just MADE to seem like the good guy for historical accuracy. John Smith has more character then the other 2, and it really isn't his fault they ruin him in the sequel.

Not that I dislike John Rolfe. I like him too.
