This may be a long comment, but bear with me, because I am super interested in everyone's response to this idea.

I was inspired to this bit of fanfiction by link that was posted around the 19th and the writer in me was drawn in by the idea. So, I decided to start brainstorming to see if I could come up with anything remotely plausible. Needless to say, I now have starter entries for seven of the nine princesses. This pick question is:

Are you interested in reading the princess diary entries that I am writing?

If I get enough favorable responses to this pick, I'll post the document here (all nine diary entries will be posted in one article so as to give a taste for them). Pending favorable criticism, I may continue them (both writing and posting).

Now, keeping with the magic that is Disney, every princess is literate and able to write. They all have access to writing utensils and paper of some sort (yes, even Ariel, in her underwater environment). And they all can write in English. I think that sums that up.

One more question, which you can answer, should you choose, in the comments section here (since I don't want to post another somewhat pointless pick): Should I include dates at the start of the entries?

And lastly, this fanfic will not be posted for another couple weeks. I wish to re-watch all of the princess movies before presenting my work to the world. I want to make sure that my characters measure up to the characters portrayed in the movies (as much as possible) and that foreshadowing details match as well.

I'm a little lost...

They're the images corresponding with the pick options. I haven't considered putting images in the actual article yet.

As for the diary entries themselves, they will all start just prior to the majority of the events displayed in the movies. Right now, here is what I'm looking at:

Snow White ~ As it's presently written, it can occur anytime before the start of the movie.
Cinderella ~ Within a month prior to the ball.
Aurora ~ Two weeks before her 16th birthday
Ariel ~ This one is still in progress, but it will be within a month prior to her first glimpse of Eric.
Belle ~ Just prior to her imprisonment at the castle ... within a month.
Jasmine ~ Still working on this one ... it'll start with one of her many suitors' visits.
Pocahontas ~ Within a week prior to John's arrival to the New World.
Mulan ~ One week prior to her meeting with the Matchmaker.
Tiana ~ Haven't started this one yet.

Sounds interesting, but I'll have to read a bit first. I think you should include dates maybe, but not years.

Reading the word DP made me think Deadpool so I had to think before I got Disney Princesses. That was random but yeah the idea sounds interesting.

Diaries? How cute. I used to like reading those kinds of stories when I was a kid.

Yeah, I was going to stay away from years, but I was thinking including months and days would help keep the stories in line.

So, it looks like I have lots of positive interest, which means I will most likely be posting this starting series when it's complete. If anyone has any questions or wants clarification on anything let me know. I'd be happy to answer any questions.
