My choice is either Pocahontas or Anastasia. I think they both fit in with the values and themes of the first six princesses the best, especially as stunning beauties who sing and have epic romances. Esmeralda would also make sense going by those standards. I think Alice, as a non-princess, would work as a companion to the princesses as well.

Her first. Then Mulan and Poca. I'm still having a hard time viewing Anya as Disney. She will ever be Fox to me.

^I'm so glad to see the Esmeralda love. I think she barely gets her due because she was removed from the franchise. My dream would be to see her and Anastasia in the DP franchise!

^I ADORE Esme. I like Anya. l have always liked Anya. But the start of Anya's movie says "Fox Productions" and I will never see Disney as anything but greedy in this regard. Same as with Star Wars.

They didn't introduce Leia as a DP. So, I am hoping, same as with the Frozen sisters, that they will know when something is a bridge too far.

^I've begun seeing Disney as a greedy corporation after the past few years. And I agree that Leia shouldn't be a DP, but for me, it's more about her being live-action and not really having anything in common. Also Star Wars is a completely separate franchise than animated Disney films so there's really no overlap. I don't mind Anastasia, even as a Fox product, because she's proven her popularity with her longevity, but she won't get promotion or merchandise unless she's an official DP. And I love the idea of seeing her alongside Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Pocahontas, etc.

Unlike Leia, or even Anna and Elsa to an extent, Anastasia really fits into the franchise since she's hand-drawn, she sings, has a love interest, has an animal sidekick, is the princess of a kingdom, wears pretty gowns, has a sorcerer for a villain, etc. Anastasia is basically the most Disney non-Disney film and I remember in 1997, reviews were even saying that it felt more like traditional Disney than that year's actual Disney film, Hercules, did. Although it's ironic that it was created to prove that non-Disney companies could compete with Disney and now it's a Disney product, if it means that Anastasia will forever be seen as a proper classic for generations to come, I'm okay with that.

I was going to say Elsa and Rapunzel but right now I am seeing that Pocahontas has become very popular in my country again. I think because next door she is very popular and even more than Aurora so that is influencing my country to like her most.

@duchess - thank you for your interest in my culture. I am from the country of India. Pocahontas has always been liked there because we liked to believe she is one of our own as she is called Indian princess. We also like her for showing that dark can be beautiful. But right now I am seeing that the Middle East has Pocahontas even more popular and they show her movie all the time there. She is super popular there.

In terms of looking best next to them, I'd say her. Also the other official princesses + Esme, Alice, Jane (I'd say Meg but her design looks kinda weird next to the others).

I just can't see Anastasia there. I don't dislike her or anything, I just don't see her as a DP and I don't think she should be one.

Her or Alice, but unfortunately Alice is just too young to actually add, which is a shame because her personality is perfect for it and she was made by Walt himself.
