The song does slow the movie down a bit, but I like this extra (though brief) scene with Belle and the beast. Also, I think the song makes a good transition to the ballroom scene.

I like seeing how much hope the servants had during this song. Also another scene to see Beast and Belle bond.

They're both the same to me. Since it's never going to be my favorite DP movie, it doesn't matter that an extra scene with an extra song was added. I've seen this movie thirty plus times because of my sibling, and it never got better than it was.

It makes me yawn.

I honestly really don't like the song Human Again AT ALL! The song isn't memorable, it really drags on and slows the movie down to the point where I completely zone out during it, it's not essential to the plot, and is just bad. I think Days in the Sun is a MUCH better song.

As for the Belle and Beast scene, I was actually annoyed by it. The reason for that is because of how it makes Beast look like a dimwitted doofus because he doesn't know how to read. Don't get me wrong, there are adults that don't know how to read, but it doesn't work here AT ALL. The Beast was a prince and is the heir to the throne, so he should be really well educated because children of royalty (Even those who aren't meant to inherit the throne) are given very strict lessons in their education even at a young age. The heir to the throne would especially be getting hounded with rigid schedules for his or her education because they'd be running the country someday and therefore would have to be knowledgeable about many different things. I know he was cursed at the age of eleven-years-old but that is a basic skill that all kids that age have (Unless there is some kind of disability that makes it more difficult) so he should already know how to read. Hell, considering he's royalty and how massive an education on MANY different subjects besides just Math, English, History, and Science, he should have learned to read and write at an age FAR younger than most kids learn how to read. Also, I know after he was cursed he likely didn't keep up with his studies but again, royalty is given a massive education even at the preschool age, so even if he didn't keep up with his studies, he should still know how to read because that is a basic skill that someone at the age of eleven (When he was cursed) has and he couldn't have forgotten. It's not like learning a language and then forgetting how to speak it because it's been so long since you used it. Reading isn't a skill someone just forgets. Even people with Alzheimers still remember how to read. It just makes the Beast look like an idiot just so Belle can look better. I went into more detail about why that is a problem in my Old vs New: Beauty and the Beast article, so if you wanna know more about why I find making Belle intellectually superior to Beast and making the Beast just an illiterate meathead, go check it out.

I've never actually seen the entire movie with the 'Human Again' song but of the song and sequence itself, I'm neutral towards it. The song itself isn't bad but it's definitely one of the weaker songs from the movie and I mildly don't really like adding the fact that Beast doesn't know how to read. That was a change in the live-action movie I liked. Him also liking books added more to the love story.
