It was certainly necessary -- as it is, there isn't enough of a developed relationship between the two, so we needed to see their friendly childhood dynamic. And I kind of wished they'd included that deleted song, as well. They're just so cute as little kids! ^-^

...and then they had to grow up. Ugh. Just kidding, but I do prefer them as kids.

Well, not necessarily perfect, but well done, I believe. I think we spent just the right amount of time with them as kids. Enough time to see their relationship be built up and feel for them as sisters, but not too much time where it dragged on. Also, Anna and Elsa were absolutely adorable children! (* v * )

I don't think it was necessary, but it certainly was a good way to demonstrate Elsa's paranoia over hurting Anna! So yes, it's great, but it wasn't exactly a necessity. Meaning, that the movie would have progressed fine without it.

Since you're new I'll give you a word of advice that the polls on here (Especially anything Frozen related) Get rigged a lot, so including the, "I think the entire MOVIE was unnecessary" option shouldn't have been included, if you wanted accurate results from the poll. (Plus including that option was pointless anyways) Also, I agree with avatar_tla_fan.

^It doesn't necessarily mean somebody choose it, the option was just probably rigged. (Rigging, meaning, that one or more users has multiple accounts and used them so they could bump up the percentage of one of the votes in their preferences favor.)

They could've done it better, maybe instead of a flashback the two could've talked about it and Elsa randomly blurted it out.

Wouldn't it have been sort of cool if the movie didn't have it? Like the whole movie we're wondering why Elsa is so nervous and wearing gloves and why there's ice growing on those objects she's olding and why her hands are shaking and doesn't want to take her gloves off and then we see her release her powers. Would be kinda neat. That being said, the flashback scene is fine although I think some of it doesn't make sense. "Fear will be your enemy" and then the parents teach her to fear her powers?

What flashback scene? The movie is told in complete chronological order, with events shown in order of when they happened in the timeline.

@Tygers_Eye, I guess you're right, it's technically not a flashback scene. But I couldn't think of another word to use for the scene where they are children at the beginning of the movie.
