Preferably a platonic friendship between a boy and a girl.

It doesn't seem like they include this much.

audreybrooke: that's a great idea! Too often we expect the boy and the girl to get together in the end. I would like to see two characters who remain just friends instead of love interests.

I think it's high time. We already have SO MANY princess movies about romantic love, and now "family" thanks to The Princess and the Frog, Brave and Frozen. I would love to see one where platonic, non-blood related family is the main focus.

Only because i love it when I see family-like bonds between people who aren't family and don't have "obligations" to be loving. Mostly because some people don't have families, but are still close to people. And I've been dying to see a platonic friendship, where NO romance-- not even hints of it are present.

Something non-redundant would be nice. I think the answer is Moana!!!! I've been reading the synopsis and the Musker and Clements comments. I think Moana has a platonic friendship with Maui ( the guy in the boat photo art release). If so, Moana will be the first of this new trend!!! Plus, Moana is as young as Snow White. She's fourteen.

The others are for more prevalent in the movies than friendship. It'd be a nice change in pace. :)

I'm still waiting for this. Although, the filmmakers of Aladdin did say that the friendship between Al and Genie was the most important relationship in the movie, if not then at least as important as the relationship between Jasmine and Aladdin. Although, in Aladdin, the friendship is overshadowed by the romance, so I'd prefer NO romance in the next one, just to prevent it from overshadowing the friendship.

Family and Friendship.

I don't mind Romance but after my disappointment with Anna/Kristoff, I don't yearn for another Disney Princess movie based on romance anymore.
