Not Merida, she acts too much like a child. Just because they both use archery doesn't mean they would be friends.
Mulan's sort of awkward and serious, Pocahontas can be less awkward but also serious but in a way that they would both still have fun.

I re-write what I wrote in one of my article looooong ago:

Surely, there is one thing that unites these two princesses: the indipendence. The other Disney Princess Movies are concentrated mainly on a love story (except Aladdin) and the princesses are closely bound to their own princes or completely dependent; but Mulan and Pocahontas are independent from their men. They think more about how to save their people and avoid useless deaths. In these two movies the love is in the background because they show more the storng personality of the main character.
Moreover, both have a good relationship with their fathers.

They both have same fate: being the least popular DPs.

They are my two favorites. I can see them getting along very well. I don't ship them though.

No doubt about it, though I was tempted to pick Mulan/Aurora because of Once Upon a Time XD

I see them being inseparable. Also her and Merida.

I'm tired of Merida/Mulan always getting shipped as friends too. Talk about opposites. Not the kind that would attract, either.

I'm really happy that Mulan and Elsa have so many points!!! Just like Manu, those are also my two favorites. As much as I can really see them working out and respecting each other, while also admiring each other's selflessness and relating to each other pretending to be someone they are not and putting everything they love on the line for their family, I have to resist my biasedness.

Most of these would work out IMO, but I really see them hanging out and just being all smart together. Just like Elsa and Mulan they would relate to being an outcast and being selfless for their family. I could see them just chatting together reading a book and mentioning their old clumsy and goofy prince, and how they both had to change their prince, or, help them see the world for the better.
Also Mulan and Tiana, who are both hardworking, smart, and the best role models of the DP's IMO. I'm really tired of seeing Mulan/Merida and Mulan/Pocahontas.

I think these two would be great friends. Just because you're opposite doesn't mean you can't find some kind of common ground and be friends.

Mulan and Belle are both daddy's girls both sacrficed themselves for Fa Zhou and Maurice they are both outcasts by their villages
