I've never really met anyone like Snow White.

I don't really have much in common with her and though she's charming, I personally struggle to relate to her character.

She is a spoiled,rich Bitch and I am not...I also have alot more respect for the rules and my Parents and am not so rash in my actions....

SweetPea2007, I agree she was a little rash running away, but Jasmine just wanted her freedom. I mean if I had no friends and was stuck in a palace I would probably act like that.

No offense, but on my polls, I really would not like it if someone was swearing. So make that a policy. No swearing on any of my articles or polls. I am not mad at you SweetPea2007, but please don't do that again and same with the rest of you.

The thing is, a lot of you think that rich means you have the best life ever, but really it does not. Not necessarily. jasmine basically feels like she has to follow a certain agenda to life that the whole kingdom controls. She feels like everything she does is being recorded and she is being babied by her dad. How would you feel if you had your parents controlling who you marry and exactly what year? You would be pressured to do everything perfectly correct. Everything has to be by the book. Yes, she may be a bit spoiled, but she just wanted a little freedom. She is all of the sudden a bad person for wanting freedom? Well, I wouldn't say so. I don't know if you would agree but that is just me.

She's my 2nd fav Princess, but I'm nothing like her, but part of the reason I love her is that I idolize characters like her cause I wish I were like them. She's hardworking, and I'm... not so much. I'm probably more like Sleepy from Snow White. =)

sorry shanyuisboss for my bad language...I forget sometimes there are young children on here...but That is just my personal opion of her...I didn't really see her like that till I became an adult and when I had children my opion of the Princesses changed even more....I understand being forced into marriage is a bad thing, but that was how it was in her country and in her time (at least she was being given a choice and got to pick who she married...yeah they had to be royalty, but it could be ANY Prince)...heck Merida was given three choices only and Pocahontas was given one....it could have been alot worse for Jasmine...There are Fathers out there who would have slapped her in the face for how she talked to hers...and for running away she should have been locked in her room and had privillages taken away from her...In my opinion instead of fighting her Father she should have instead made it a point to research Princes and made an effort to find one she could actually live with and find bearable....but hey this is just my opion and I know others see it differently especially young teenage girls who "understand" her... And sorry I was just stating how we are different, I am more like Tiana/Rapunzel/Belle/Mulan (artistic, bookworm, daydreamer who believes in hardwork in order to reach her goals but also feels very strong about family and doing what is right)

^^ regardless of younger people on the website, there are better ways to express an opinion than using words like "bitch". it's so tiring and i see it quite a lot from you about Jasmine. it's like me constantly calling Ariel, who i dislike, a "spoilt bitch" at every given opportunity, it's just not respectful to people who like the characters. expressing dislike about something is fine but there is a difference between a bit of criticism and spewing hatred. if you think that way about Jasmine, fine, but some thoughts don't need to be said.

Uh, not to be mean SweetPea2007, but I'm 17. Don't take this offensively, but how does saying no swearing mean I am a child? I just am against swearing. Anyway, about jasmine, you can think what you want, but the way they portrayed it to is in Aladdin was that all of the people that wanted to marry jasmine were horrible choices. Besides, jasmine just did not feel ready for marriage at all. She is obviously going to reject all of them in the first place because she feels like she doesn't even want to try. Yes, she needed to be a little appreciative, she is a little spoiled in that sense, but we just can't ignore the fact that she was having to do everything by the book for her whole life. I won't just keep going after you to convince you, so I will just stop from here.

I am not going to stop expressing my negative opinion of her, but I will find better words to state those ideas....by the way I agree with you about Ariel too and I think she is one too...and I understand about not like seeing the hate toward a character you like (I do not like seeing all the negative opinions and idiotic things posted about Brave and Merida and also some of the negative things about Rapunzel and Tiana....and I have see actual hatred (not just dislike) toward the names I mentioned, especially Merida/Brave....

no offense shanyuisboss you are a child compared to me, but I was not saying that toward you but that there are some children on here as young as 12, so I will watch my language from now on..And they did only show one suitor so it is possible Jasmine was just being picky and uppity....and I understand she was not ready (heck she was still a child) but unfortuantly that was her culture and sometimes you have to do things you don't want to for tradition and to fulfill your responsibility (that is why I am glad I am not a Princess or in a position of power...too much responsibility and pressure) She had a obligation and sometimes you have to suck it up and do the right thing even if it means you are unhappy...I have had to sacrafice and do things I did not want to for my family and my children....my obligations as a Mother and wife come before my own needs (that is life) I am tired of arguing, it is pointless...let us agree to disagree and respect each others opinion..okay?

I disagree with what you said, but I am not going to keep arguing because I don't want to cause a fight. I guess we just cant all agree on the same things. Good points though.

I respect your opinion as I said before and you make a good point...I just see things differently and that is proably because I am coming at it from a mother's point of view....I will be 32 in August...

A little note about swearing - The internet is a place of freedom and is filled with opinionated people. If someone wants to swear, you can't really stop them. All you can do is control your reaction, since fuck is just a word, bitch is just a word (and many women take bitch as a compliment now. It's come to represent power and independence in our society), and it's /you/ that gives these words meaning. Not trying to be quoteunquote bitchy, but it's something that's good to accept.

^ It's all about context... saying "Jasmine is a badass bitch" is completely different to "Jasmine is a spoilt bitch" which is obviously not used as a compliment. I just think there are better ways to express opinions about characters; if this was the first time I'd seen it then I would have brushed it aside, but I've seen it so much on here and it's so draining and disrespectful. It would be seen as a much bigger deal on here if it was an Ariel hater constantly saying "Ariel is a bitch" all the time, there would probably be huge arguments, yet because it's Jasmine, no one really says anything about it.
