One and Three! Shrek 2 came out when I was 10 and I used to watch it all the time and listen to the soundtrack. One song I would sing around the house a lot was Changes (covered by Butterfly Boucher but featuring David Bowie!). My dad heard me and told me about the original cover and about David Bowie. So I was 10 when I first discovered the basic concept that David Bowie is a singer. Then 3 years later I was going to sing a song for some talent thingamajiggy in school and wanted to sing the cover from Shrek 2. My teacher asked me who sings it and I said David Bowie. Then she said she'd never heard of him and that she'll have to check the song for swears. So she checked it and it was fine and as I was practicing I discovered other songs by him and then finally I looked him up and it hit me how sexy and attractive he is. So I developed a crush on him and have loved him ever since! <3

Oh yeah and my dad has a lot of David Bowie vinyl, cassettes...etc and he bought me my first Bowie CD: Best of Bowie! :D

Technically is was both Bowie and his songs, I fell in love with him when I saw Labyrinth :) Well, actually, when I re-watched Labyrinth, as I've seen it for the first time when I was a kid. I decided to check out rest of his songs and I was sold :)

I always liked Classic Rock. My mum used to play alot of those when I was a kid. But my parents kept from me that David Bowie existed - I will never forgive them for that one xD
I heard Space Oddity in a movie and thought "F*ck, that's the perfectest thing ever." And then I checked out the rest of his work and discovered we're a match made in heaven

I just watched the Labyrinth this weekend because it is my cousin's favorite movie, and now I'm obsessed.
