It's certainly 与えられた me a lot of hope that maybe Delena will one 日 actually happen. The build up between Damon and Elena after the bedroom scene in The Return has been pretty slow to say the least. Even after Damon apologised for what he did for Jeremy, Elena told him he had ロスト her forever. It certainly made me begin to think that maybe Delena should be put to rest, especially since Stelena was going so strong. I found the blood sharing scene between Stefan and Elena to be quite cliched, and only added in as an attempt to put something knew into that stale relationship. It failed miserably.
Things have begun to slowly shift from Stelena to Delena over the past couple of episodes- starting with the Stelena break up. Personally, I found the Delena moment at the end of that episode もっと見る upsetting than the actual break up. Damon and Elena have so much emotion between them; あなた can feel it through the screen. I'm glad that once Katherine was sealed in the tomb, Elena didn't jump back into Stefan's arms. I hope Stelena breaks up for a long time, または even permanently. Their relationship has had its day. My ハート, 心 broke for Damon when Elena ran into Stefan's arms; the look on his face showed the realisation that it would always be Stefan- just like Elena had told him. Elena's look over Stefan's shoulder at Damon was the moment she forgave him. I thought that maybe those two would have at least another scene together, especially after she thanked him. I certainly wasn't expecting Damon to become a real man and do the most romantic thing that has ever happened on the show.

Damon knew that loving Elena was selfish. He knew that every time his brother, Stefan found happiness, he took it away.
