SpuffyDelena First off - Wow. That article on the DB spot. It's sad the amount of hate people get if they stick up for the 'other' side, even though they weren't right in hating in the first place. I may be bias when it comes to Delena but bashing other people has nothing to do with a couple. It's just hate. Now for this article. I agree, it is nice to have optimism on this spot (for once, lmao. People tend to be harsh) and have everybody get along and focused on the 'better' half. I hope that it continues the way it is, and if people need to rant they should do so in the rant thread not the wall :P We don't wanna scare new shippers away. But I have a feeling we won't be needing the rant thread for DE for a long while :D Anyway great article :]

delenasalvatore Thanks for posting this. I agree - I feel terrible for the poor Bamon fan who was lynched simply for voicing her opinions, and I feel really shocked and quite disgusted for the way they attacked her. The comments just go on and on - often several times by the same shipper. I think the DE fandom, although we all have our moments - are a pretty peaceful bunch in general. If anyone does have a grievance, it's usually after reading something that has upset them. I think we can totally avoid negative drama and ship-bashing. If possible, we should avoid confrontation and retaliation, even if another shipper started it. The less times we retaliate, the less leverage a fandom, whether it be SE or BD, has on us. According to the Bamon comments accompanying the article, they have a right to dislike/bash/hate/attack/offend us because they've been attacked by DE shippers in the past. If we don't strike back, then they can't say 'But DE shippers have trolled on our forums and called us bitches.' (Really? How long ago was that?) If we do nothing and operate by peaceful tactics, then the less examples they have of our supposed 'hate Bamon' campaign. It won't stop them hating us, but if we say and do nothing, then the more people will see that we're the innocent party. We should try to keep the spot free of any bashing and negativity, by using the rant thread whenever we feel the need to vent. We can show other fandoms that we are a real family, not because we blindly follow domineering ring-leaders or immediately cast someone out of the fandom for voicing an alternative opinion, but by being peace-loving individuals who are united by their love of an amazing ship. We can show them that we are the better fandom by rising above mean and hateful shippers.

katie15 Thanks for writing this and I totally agree :) This spot isn't perfect, the fans aren't perfect- I mean there's been plenty of disagreements on this spot- but I'm proud that I'm a part of this fanbase because we always stick up for each other and the majority of us knows when we're crossing the line.

MelodyLaurel I agree with everything you said. Sure no fanbase is perfect(Let's face it,we have over 5500 fans. We can't control all their behavior), but I'm always glad that overall this spot is quite peaceful. That's why I'll keep being a part of the DE family:) Love you all.
