As a reader of these novels, it is clear to me that the connection between Damon and Bonnie in the novels is significantly もっと見る organic and real then the connection between Damon and Elena. The connection between Damon and Bonnie feels "real" whenever I read it on paper and I feel like I am 読書 an epic 愛 story unfolding when I read Bamon scenes within these books. However, on the complete contrary, I NEVER get this same feeling whenever I read the scenes with Delena in the books. There is just something about the connection between Damon/Elena that is just not "right". I really cannot pinpoint what it is because for the most part, it is indescribable. But as a reader and also, as a highly analytical, deep reader, I know what feels "real" within a story. That goes for connections and relationships between two characters within a story. For example, when I read literature like Romeo and Juliet または Wuthering Heights, the relationships and connections between Romeo/Juliet and Heathcliff/Catherine feel "real" to me, because for the most part, I feel like the connections between these two pairings came from the ハート, 心 of the writers whom wrote these connections and relationships. This is the exact same way for Edward/Bella from Twilight. When I read Edward/Bella, I can tell that it is "real" and this is the same feeling that I get when I read both Stefan/Elena and Damon/Bonnie in L.J. Smith's writing. This is why I simply cannot understand how so many people can blindly ship Delena in the novels because truthfully, there is no depth to ship または support.
When I compare the differences between Bamon and Delena in the novels, it is palpable. Damon/Bonnie feels real, it's believable to me. Since Damon is a character with such complexities and someone who needs a whole lot of healing, I can tell that Damon claiming to "love" anyone that soon is not によって any means realistic whatsoever. This is why I found the Return trilogy so completely messy, especially in regards to the Delena connection. The Delena connection was extremely forced and contrived and for the most part, their connection is shallow. When I read all of the Bamon scenes and moments within both the original trilogy and The Return trilogy, I feel like I am 読書 something that is significantly deeper, もっと見る genuine, もっと見る heartfelt, もっと見る real and much もっと見る organic than that of the moments between Delena. It is clear and obvious to see and understand that whatever connection Damon and Elena do have with each other, is all about lust, passion, desire and physical appearance. Their connection has no meaning, no depth, no purpose and to me, The Return trilogy just made Delena look ten thousand times もっと見る shallow then they did in the original series. One thing i notice is that when Elena talks about Damon, all she talks about is how beautiful または drop dead hot he is. And it's always about his physical appearance. She's not talking about Damon, the person, because frankly, Elena in the 本 doesn't 愛 Damon, the person. She loves what he looks like and the fact that he gives her his undivided attention whenever she is around him. It's all about attention when it comes to Elena and Damon. Both Damon and Elena share this personality trait in common; the need and the desire to have attention and be noticed によって everyone; to be the "star" of the show. And both Elena and Damon are shallow in the sense that they use their physical appearance/looks in order to gain their attention, because they know that their personalities are not the most likeable. So both have to resort to using their appearance または charm to gain the affections of the opposite sex. This is honestly what makes Stefan's 愛 for Elena completely and totally opposite of Damon's "love" (more like obsession) with Elena. While Stefan does think Elena is physically beautiful, that is not all Stefan sees when he looks at Elena. Stefan sees Elena's soul, the true person she is inside, HER TRUE ESSENCE. Because to be honest, Elena's selfishness, her vanity, her headstrong character, etc, that is all her OUTSIDE PERSONALITY. It is not her soul personality, but it is Elena's ego personality. Stefan sees and also "knows" and understands her soul essence/personality, because Stefan knows Elena completely inside and out. He knows and deeply loves and accepts Elena the individual. The 愛 that Stefan has for Elena is unconditional; he loves her no matter what, even her flaws. Stefan only loves Elena もっと見る for her selfishness and her vanity and he selflessly accept her flaws as a person, because Stefan knows her and understand the TRUE ELENA, which is her soul. The reason for this is because they are eternally connected to each other, they are literally each other's half so they understand and know each other better then anyone else on this entire Earth. This is how Stefan's 愛 differs from Damon's 愛 for Elena. Whereas Stefan loves Elena THE INDIVIDUAL, Damon loves Elena THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE. Damon loves Elena for completely shallow reasons, mostly because she is drop dead beautiful and the fact that she now has an angelic and powerful aura with special only makes him もっと見る obsessed with her. Like Elena, when Damon talks about Elena, he is always talking about and worshipping her appearance. It doesn't go much deeper then that. It is all about passion and desire on the part of Damon, and also Elena. This is why whenever I read Delena in the books, none of it feels deep または meaningful または purposeful. True and real 愛 is meaningful and deep, there is significantly depth and purpose. Yes, there is always a strong attraction, and there is passion and there is sexual magnetism and attraction but there is always something deeper then what's on the surface. This is especially true for Bamon and Stelena in the books. There are times throughout the book where I just roll my eyes at Elena, because all she keeps talking about is Damon and his physical appearance. What about Damon, THE INDIVIDUAL, THE PERSON? What about who he is, what he represents, what he really stands for deep down within his soul and essence? The reason why Elena never talks about Damon and who he is as an individual is because she really does not and never has understood the true depth of who Damon reall is, his soul, his essence, his entire being. She only sees what's on the surface. The reason why she simply cannot understand him at such a significantly deeper level (like she does with Stefan) and simply because she doesn't "know" him. She may understand his personality traits and she may even relate to him on that level, but again, she only relates to the surface of Damon, which includes his physical appearance and his outside/ego personality. Because let's be truthful and let's be real here. Damon's selfishness, his vanity, his pride, his jealousy, his possessiveness, all of these traits that Damon has displayed throughout the course of the series IS NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEN THE REAL DAMON. Those traits that come out and that he displays openly towards everyone, including Elena and Stefan, that is strictly his outside personality and his ego. The REAL Damon has been hidden deep down for over 5 centuries and the only person to be able to see past the surface in his entire life is Bonnie McCullough. SHE IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO GETS HIM AND UNDERSTANDS HIM. Even though Damon and Bonnie are literally polar opposites in terms of outside personalities and even in physical appearance, they are so alike at such a deeper level and they both don't even know it because it is strictly in the subconscious. Deep down within both Damon and Bonnie, they share the same wants, needs, desires, passions, values, deep down inside THEIR REAL SELVES, they both want and desire the same things; they share the same goals, although it doesn't 表示する up on the surface, because both Damon and Bonnie's outside personalities and egos cover that up and it is hidden as a result. In order for Elena to literally try to get a better understanding of Damon and who he is, she had to be bestowed with special angelic powers 与えられた to her from the afterlife. That goes to 表示する あなた that Elena needed special abilities just to understand Damon as a person. And even now, even though she has used these special powers to assist her in understanding Damon at a deeper level, she STILL doesn't have an understanding of who Damon is truly on the inside. And the blunt truth is, she NEVER WILL. Because Elena will never understand Damon, THE INDIVIDUAL. She'll always and forever only understand what's on the outside of Damon, what's simply on the surface. That's how far as their connection goes.
When Bonnie talks about Damon, and even when she talks about how gorgeous and beautiful he is, she is not simply talking about what is on the outside. Sure, of course, Bonnie thinks that Damon is very beautiful and handsome (I mean, all the girls in the world think so), but for Bonnie, is WAY DEEPER then that. Bonnie doesn't 愛 Damon's looks, she loves the individual. She loves all of him, unconditionally, selflessly. BONNIE LOVES DAMON, THE INDIVIDUAL. Bonnie could care less about his looks. So when Bonnie says that Damon is beautiful and gorgeous, she's really saying that HIS SOUL/ESSENCE is beautiful. Who Damon is as a person. Because even though Damon is dangerous and has the potential to harm her, she still deeply and strongly cares for him no matter what. And she knows deep down deep within herself that Damon would never really truly harm her physically. Whenever Damon does act rashly and impulsively towards Bonnie, it has nothing to do with Bonnie, it is もっと見る about him and his selfish aspirations. For example in Midnight, when Damon treated Bonnie not so nicely, it wasn't about her, it was about him and him only, because of the influence that Elena has on him. The reason why he went back to the Dark Dimension at all and any costs was because he really desired to be a vampire again because in his ego and selfish mind, he believes that will make Elena desire him もっと見る and want him もっと見る and make her want to be with him. So, him treating Bonnie badly または not so nicely has nothing to do with Bonnie at all, it is all on him, if Damon acts impulsively and rashly. And it's also Elena's fault as well, since because of her, Damon's ego constantly runs wild and takes control of him.
Damon in the 本 never listens to his subconscious, he only pays attention to his pride and ego. Because that is what defines Damon in the books. Ego and pride. Damon has a deep fear deep down within himself of 表示中 kindness, compassion, tenderness and genuine, real 愛 towards someone または anyone, hence why he repeatedly tries to deny the feelings that he has for Bonnie. Because Damon is scared. But this is why あなた never see Damon trying to deny any feelings for Elena, because he has nothing to be scared of in regards to Elena, because truthfully, this only implies that there is no depth to their connection and that there are no actual real feelings between them. Damon knows this deep down but again, his ego and his pride take over. He knows deep within himself somewhere that he doesn't have any real, deep, and genuine feelings for Elena Gilbert, because to be quite honest, Elena Gilbert to Damon Salvatore is nothing but a prize to be won. She is a competition to him in regards to his centuries long feud with his younger brother. This is why I repeatedly say that when it comes to the 三角形 within this series, Damon is and always has been an obstacle for the true romance (Stefan/Elena). And they always say that every epic 愛 または romance story has an obstacle/a few obstacles somewhere down the road. In regards to Damon/Bonnie and the obstacles that are standing in the way of their growing bond/love for each other, the obstacles in this case are Elena and Damon himself. Bonnie is there, waiting and open, ready to 愛 Damon with selfless and unconditional 愛 but Damon keeps choosing to both ignore it, deny it and run away from it. And the real reason why Damon still feels so empty, dark and confused deep within himself is because he continues the denial. He shields his subconscious over and over again with his conscious/ego, hence why he can't find that completeness and wholeness that he has been yearning for deep down within himself for over 5 centuries. Damon keeps looking strictly on the outside instead of looking at a much deeper level. I hate to say this but Damon is originally a rather shallow character. And to be truthful, so was Bonnie at the very beginning of the series. This is one trait that Damon and Bonnie do share in common, despite the fact that their outside personalities are so inherently opposite and different. However, because Bonnie's spiritual self is もっと見る evolved than Damon, she is still able to see things at a much deeper level, although the story makes her look like she can't do such a thing whatsoever. I think the story makes Bonnie look significantly もっと見る shallow and flighty than she really is and that to me, is part of what makes Bonnie such an interesting and unique character to me. So Bonnie sees Damon for who he is as an individual and she greatly and deeply understands him and this is where her connection with Damon will always greatly differ from Elena's connection with him. Elena only thinks she knows and understands Damon but she doesn't whatsoever and this can't be forced. あなた either understand someone at a significantly deeper level または あなた don't. The truth is, nobody understands Damon in this entire series, hell, the entire world, better than Bonnie. Bonnie embodies everything Damon is and needs. She literally completes him and she also complements him. Most people like to make the argument that Damon and Bonnie are too opposite in personalities to get each other または be together, but what most of these nay-sayers don't understand is that understanding someone, deep down, has nothing to do with personalities whatsoever. It's something that personalities can't claim または interfere with in regards to this kind of understanding and connection between two people. When あなた really get to the bottom of it, yes, Damon/Bonnie are extreme polar opposites in terms of their outside personalities. For example, Damon is dark; Bonnie is light. Damon is selfish/arrogant/vain; Bonnie is selfless/humble/modest. Damon is strong/compelling/dominant; Bonnie is weak/fragile/vulnerable. Damon is もっと見る impulsive/headstrong/aggressive; Bonnie is もっと見る calm/flexible/passive. Damon is dangerous; Bonnie is harmless/innocent. Damon is immoral; Bonnie is moral. So, when it comes right down to it, Damon and Bonnie are very opposite in personalities. あなた would think that because of their opposing personalities, that Damon and Bonnie would constantly clash in horrendous ways and yes, they have gotten into their share of quarrels (Damon and Bonnie do have a bit of a chaotic and tumultuous relationship). But regardless of who they are on the outside, they deeply and greatly understand each other at significantly deeper levels imaginable. Contrast it with Damon and Elena. Damon and Elena "understand" each other because of the surface. They have similar personalities in the sense that both are impulsive, headstrong, aggressive, selfish, etc. Both are prideful and attention seeking and vain. So again, like I said, Damon and Elena understand each other on these levels. The problem is, most people misinterpret this notion that if あなた are similar in personality, あなた understand each other at deeper levels. All I can say is THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE WHATSOEVER. It is far from true and I am honestly tired of people saying such a thing, because it couldn't be farther from the truth. People can have very opposite personalities, but still understand each other もっと見る then anyone on the earth because they are the only ones to understand each other at such deep levels. This is extremely rare kind of connection and does not occur often on this earth. Whereas, it took almost an instant for Bonnie to understand Damon, the individual, it took basically the entire series (and included her having to use special angelic powers in order to do so) for Elena to get even the slightest understanding of who Damon really truly is deep down. And still, she doesn't understand him whatsoever. So, this is why Elena always talks about what is on the surface in regards to Damon, because that is all she is ever going to be able to connect with when it comes to Damon. But as usual, most people try to undermine the actual depth of Book Bamon's connection and the fact that Bamon is and always has been and always will be a significantly deeper connection and dynamic than that of Delena will ever. And I really wish that many TVD novel readers would open their eyes and come to see what is the reality. The sad truth is most people ship Delena, because most people within society, overall, are shallow-minded. They simply just want to see the hot guy with the most beautiful drop dead gorgeous girl and in the fictional sense, the beautiful girl who happens to be the main female character and the protagonist of the story. Because I assure あなた that is why many Delena supporters ship Delena. Because Damon is the drop dead gorgeous fanged bad boy and Elena is the drop dead beautiful female protagonist. But just because two people are drop dead beautiful または gorgeous together, does NOT mean in any way, that they are RIGHT FOR EACH OTHER. This is why I feel the Delena connection in the novels (and even on the show) is completely shallow and lacks any kind of significant meaning and depth. And it's really unfortunate that so many people within this fandom also support such a controlling and obsessive connection.
When I read the Phantom sneak peak in SD's, I beyond cringed when I read how Damon was talking to Elena as if she is literally some prize または some kind of mannequin または ornament. Damon sees Elena, not as an individual, but as a piece of property または as a prize. Damon literally subjects to telling Elena "You're MINE. I'm YOURS. We belong together." It just doesn't translate healthy to me and it most definitely spells and reads OBSESSION to the nth degree. How anyone cannot see this is beyond me. The connection between D/E lacks so much depth and real genuine emotion. With D/B, and the moments that they share in this series, there is literally so much emotion pouring out from them, no matter what the emotion または feeling is. Whether it is joy, anger, sadness, fear, confusion, etc, there is never a moment between Damon/Bonnie that is not real, genuine and organic. And this is why I repeatedly feel that when L.J. Smith writes anything that is Bamon in her 本 and short stories, she is seriously 書く from her heart. Nobody can tell me that L.J. Smith doesn't deeply 愛 または have a strong, indefinite soft spot for Bamon when she writes such a connection that is so incredibly pure, deep, real, genuine, intense, magnetic, romantic, epic, the 一覧 goes on. When L.J. Smith writes Delena, I feel like she is 書く with her mind. Because the truth be told, the only reason why L.J. Smith has incorporated such a forced and contrived Delena connection in her 書く and her 本 is because she feels ultimate pressure from the ファン (mostly of the CW TV 表示する of course) and I can assure あなた with ultimate confidence, that it has nothing to do with what L.J. Smith really actually wants deep down within herself. I know I can't speak for her and what she really wanted, but as a reader, I can feel it through her 書く when I read it. Stelena/Bamon are from L.J. Smith's ハート, 心 and no one can tell me otherwise as a reader of these books. This is why I will never have an understanding of Delena's connection because it simply doesn't make any sense to me. And the truth is, it never will. And this is why I can't and NEVER will support Delena. The publishers know what's real and that is why L.J. Smith was let go または "fired" because the publishers KNEW that she was incorporating all of this forced Delena nonsense into her books, because of STRICTLY the pressure of the fans, mostly of the Delena ファン of course. Because it is the D/E ファン that are the most rabid and obsessive and they are the ones who send countless and endless emails to L.J. Smith about how there better be so much Delena in the 本 または else they are not buying them または 読書 them. I bet あなた any money that L.J. Smith has faced many different threats from various different Delena fans, hence why a part of me feels like she actually quit, because she couldn't take all of the pressure from the D/E fans.
To wind down my article, the Bamon connection in the 本 will always feel real and genuine to me and Delena will never feel real to me. Bamon is a deep connection and Delena is a shallow connection and there is simply nothing that can be done to alter または change that fact. It is what it is and truth be told, Bamon is AMAZING and EPIC for being such a real, genuine and organic connection.
When I compare the differences between Bamon and Delena in the novels, it is palpable. Damon/Bonnie feels real, it's believable to me.
